Why

Horned Frogs baby....

I have a few roaming cats in the area that need to go to the Winchester vet clinic. I have taken care of several, but there are 2 that I can't sneak out to. I have tried my have a heart trap with sardines and wet cat food, but no luck. I had one get in there, eat the food, and take a dump in the cat food can.

Any ideas?

17 HMR is a little faster than the 22LR. Seriously, though, try leaving the trap in a place for a few days, feeding them around it, then in front of it, say three or four days, eventually putting the food in front of it, then in it. If it fails to trip and trap the little ****-factory, you need to work on the trigger mechanism. I had some small coons I couldn't catch in a foot trap, and they were too light to trigger the live trap door latch, so putting a small board across the bottom so it would allow a little more pressure down on the bar at the back did the trick. I also slid the door catch out to the point it was almost ready to trip and greased it, so it took less weight to trip it. It gave me the oportunity to introduce them to my 46gr friends that hang out in MY P22... . ;)

try put a pice of sheetmetal with electricity in it and place a pice of wood in center
on top of the wood put a fich and electricity. .
dont forget to put a fuse on the cable so the cat fount catch on fire

That is playing 'Catvorkian"!!!

works great.

this is one of the funiest threads i have seen on here. the first thing i thought of was the sheet metal and extension cord. had to do that one time with a trash can that kept getting dumped out at night. all thought i didnt have a fuse and it did stink. LOL

I thought I had a coon getting into my "beerator" under the front carport where I lived in Wichita Falls. I wired up all around the door with an electric fence charger for goats... . most fence chargers hit you with around . 5 Joules, the one for goats hits with 1. 5... . ends up, one of my neighbors kids comes up with some wet pants and a nasty gash on his leg where he ran over a trailer trying to get away from it..... The beer and food theiving quit, though... ... :)

I like the thread too. :-laf What's funnier is just a day or 2 after this started a friend of mine posted on our club website that he had a cat problem at his new place. I guess he has about a dozen or so running loose in the area. :D

THIS has to be the funniest thing I've read on TDR to date!! I can picture the whole thing happening :-laf

It reminds me of the time that myself and a couple friends got our backsides peppered with rock salt delivered by means of a shotgun for stealing raspberries from the neighbor's orchard. lol!!!

Bet that smarted some. Today, that neighbor would be doing 20-to-life for attempted murder.

And back on topic, just how is rock salt done in a shotgun?

Rock Salt load

Rock salt replaces the lead shot in the wad. It's usually large granules, similar in size to T shot, and works fairly well short distances. It doesn't really have the sectional density to kill at any kind of distance, but if it does penetrate the skin, it burns like salt in a cut... We usually use lighter loads on cattle for "Persuasion tactics" when they don't want to cooperate... . ;) After one, sometimes two, rounds, all you have to do is cycle the action or shake the fore end at them, and they'll turn around and go back to behaving. The hard part is finding a horse you can shoot off of.

Thank to my good buddies Savage, Hornady, and Silencerco, I no longer have a cat problem. It is now laying on top of its house in no pain. The wife is happy now. I will post a picture of my set up later.
