I just signed papers on a brand new Laramie 2011 Dodge 3500 SRW. I love this thing. Test drove a new Furd 6. 7 and then drove a new 2011 6. 7 Cummins. Dodge really did a amazing job on this truck. I love the interior color. The Siruis sat radio is cool. I go back tomorrow and get my owners manual the salesman forgot to give me. Cutbacks at work forced me to get rid of 2 truck payments and go to 1 truck payment. I will update my sig at later time.

Congratulations.

I stay away from dealer's lots. Don't want to risk test driving a Gen IV truck and deciding "I gotta havit. "

Congrats!

The owners manual is now on a DVD. Check your glove box for it before going back to the dealer. If you want a "paper" one call the Chrysler 800# and they will send you one.

Yeah buddy

I can't believe how much better this new truck is. The seats are so comfortable to sit in. The EB is flawless and I have to get used to the cruise control.

That sounds great. Congratulations. Post pics.

What did you like best about the Dodge/Cummins over the furd/powerjoke?

More for you money with Dodge

I found from driving both rigs that there are more features for the money in the Dodge. For instance the Furd was a CC LB dually with cloth interior which looked halfway decent. I did not like the stupid coin holders in the Furd. You had to stand the coins on edge to put them in. The Furd 6. 7 was very quiet as if it sounded like a gas motor. It had plenty of power to the ground. Did not like the EB feature on the Furd. Had to tap the brake twice and could barely hear the brake working. The Integrated brake on the Dodge is much better. There is an actual switch for it. The Furd was over 54k and was only an XLT model. My truck fully loaded Laramie for about 50k. Both trucks were $1 over invoice but only on the ones that were on the lot. In better words this 2011 is the best truck I have owned so far. I took advantage of the Sirius/XM free for a year. Furd only offers this for 6 months.

Extra parts

i just have to figure out what to do with all the extra parts I bought for the '05 I got rid of. PM me if you guys want to know what I got.

arctic fox

Yes it is. Never leaks on roof. Very solid trailer for the age. Wish I had a 5er. Can't buy one now that I have this thing to pay for. Maybe someday I will find something cheap I can pay cah for.

Roger that!

Congratulations.

Its tough taking the truck in for oil change and having to parade past all that sexy goodness... . ! I walk a couple of blocks to a bagel shop instead of sitting in the dealer lounge and looking at all the toys!!

Ahhhh, Grasshopper..... you have learned the art of "will power"..... now can you teach me?

That learning can only be acquired with age for most of us. Years ago I wanted to go look at all the new automotive products as soon as they arrived on dealer's lots every fall. Like most of us, when I was young I was an easy victim for the planned obsolesence used by the auto manufacturers to sell us new products.

The temptation is still present now but like Ken above, I stay away from the new products. My '08 will do everything the new '11s can do, just not with as much smooth ride or looks.

There is no need to look at these new trucks, there is no absolute need to do so, there is no need to look at these new trucks; there is no need to look... ... ... . ad infinitum

Just a peek. Maybe just sit in the seat... .

What? Oh... . sure a spin around the block couldn't hurt, right?... . the Wife doesn't even need to know... . it'll just be our little secret... . shhhh.

Thats how I ended up with my 04. 5, but it ended up working in my favor. The salesman could see me hesitate and would drop the price a little more every time I got back in or started to walk away. With a sujested retail price of 44K, I got it for 35K. :-laf

You guys are braver than I. Just like a little kid. (seeing a new toy or dolly)... ... ... ... ... ... ..... looking then turns to touching which turns to caressing and then to home. A vicious circle don'tcha know.

"Here's my checkbook, lemme know when it empty". You're made of tougher stuff than I... ... . So, how come the new trucks are sooooo long?
