I am going to lose use totally of both of my legs and i would like to know what and where and how you would try to sell 3 trucks i have in Texas. I used to have great luck with the Truck Trader Magaine and the newspapers, now neither are delivered in all of the little towns and many are gone out of business and or on online only versions. How has craigs list, American classifieds and ebay done for everybody and this site of course lately?? One of these truck has $15,000 worth of repairs and aftermaket parts install? Where can I market that truck to try to sell in 30 to 60 days?? I know what the difference between the bank laon value and retail value in the blue and the nada book. . I not going to set them get stolen at a used dealer or tradein but i also dont want to try to ask way over the going rate for them either and turn peeps off. I bought a imageevent site and got the trucks all detailed and inspected last week, i was going to try to post a link of 50 pictures on any place I ran an add with contact, I dont mind spending $200 each to advertise them, whats the top 5 places to get these trucks new owners, they are not auction barn junk or dead when pulled in to the lot trucks, they went all over the usa hauling powerwagons and unimogs and Olivers when i was still buy for outtliftting my hunting ranches down here, thanks for any hunt tips phone number websites or ideas in advance!!!

I am very sorry to hear about your legs. I've sold several things on Craigslist and would recommend going that route first. Be sure to add pictures. It's free but there are some flakes there. TDR has classified ads too. I'd also move your post into the General Diesel Topics forum if I were you. Depending in where in Texas you are, there's a huge market for Dodge CTDs the Ark-La-Tex and Louisiana in general for all the "peeps" in the oil industry down here. Oil workers around here love these things.

Best of luck sir. You're in my prayers.

Thanks, will do craigs list for the first time, I been wary of it and not used it so far but now is the time tio git er done

First and foremost, I am truly sorry about legs. It certainly puts the little things in life that we worry about in perspective. I know that you haven't asked for it, but I'll be praying for you during this time.

I've used Craigslist to sell several things now. In some cases I've had good luck. In others, I've had nothing but frustration with lowballers and scams. Couple of quick words of advice when writing your ad. Don't include your phone # in or personal email in the body of the ad. Use the craigslist email for responses and then contact the individual who is interested back. When I place an add, I usually request that all responses include the interested party's name and phone #. Most of the time, it will eliminate the robo-calls and scammers. I have a dedicated email account that I use for craigslist or online adds. Just to keep my "good" email accounts from being filled with spam etc.

I would also suggest listing your trucks here on the TDR classifieds and on other diesel truck sites. Those locations will help you find buyers that will understand and appreciate the work/modifications that you have done to your trucks. It will not necessarily add to the price, but at least you are hitting a target audience.

I too feel bad about the use of your legs and my prayers are also with you.

I'm another big fan of craigslist.org and have sold several cars and trucks for myself and others with their free ads. I would post craigslist ads in the alfalfa growing areas of Colorado since they use Cummins powered trucks to haul their product to the buyers. I sold my 95 Dodge to one such person in Alamosa, Colorado. Prior to buying my Dodge, he had a furd with it's 3rd powerjoke engine in it. He said the truck that work best for them are Dodge with a Cummins Turbo diesel.

I also am sad to hear about the use of your legs.

I use craigslist quite abit, but I always just stick with the local area. It is easier to deal with someone face to face than on the internet.

Best wishes for you and your family...

I know someone who is looking for a Dodge in the $10K area. If that describes anything you have, please pm me some details and contact info. I'll pass it along. Traveling to TX is not a problem for him; I beat him to the purchase of my (new to me) truck from a guy in Austin.

thanks

I have had good luck with craigslist too. It sure wouldnt hurt to list on ebay. You will have many potential buyers see the ebay listing nation wide.

Just cover yourself with the title of the vehicle.

Also, do NOT do out of town transactions, money order or other scams of over payment with the balance sent back to buyer. .

Just be really smart and safe.
I bought and sold on craigslist, jut gotta beat the low ballers away.

Our thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

Where in N. Texas are you? If you're near 78266, PM me. We have a huge group of 2nd Gen enthusiasts in the area.
