Stack EZ or MP-8?

For those who have experimented with it, which stack proved to work out the best? I'll be upgrading to 50 HP sticks soon, but the box will follow shortly thereafter.
 
That stack goes best with 2um filtration! Either run the P551315 on your AD or add a P551313 downstream.

But I have heard the best things about the MP-8. I think its more adjustable.

Don't forget that the OEM fuel psi sender in the rail is only good to 26K, so anything at or over 26K on the gauge isn't accurate.
 
Most folks that have tried both, prefer the MP8, they claim it is more aggressive...



I have only tried the EZ, been on my truck since the day I drove it off Dishman Dodge's lot brand new. I have no complaints, it is harder to change adjustments on the early models like mine(jumpers), but newer ones have in cab adjustability. I usually just leave mine on 2 and forget about it.



You can usually pick up a used EZ for around $200. 00, but unless you know the source of origination, you really do not know what you will receive.
 
OK ,1st I hate edge Products,None the less EZ on levels 3 or lower are OK,Don't ever stack EZ with any additional electronics. MP8 works but you need to understand its sends lower readings then actual.
 
Tell us how you really feel TC! Although I cant say I hate Edge products, I will say I am not a big fan of them. I did have the Juice w/attitude that I sold for my Smarty, just didnt like the uncontrollable EGT's it delivered. I have heard that the MP-8 stacks well with Smarty but I also read in here that some were stacking the EZ as well and getting good results (I think I may have read it on a post you made JJPage). It was my understanding in the past that Edge didnt play well with Smarty; so this is why I ask where I can pick up the Edge used for a bit cheaper than I can the MP-8. So I am thinking I will follow AH64ID's advice and spin a Donaldson onto my AD and hook up an MP-8. All this of course after I get my new sticks in.

**Doesn't the EZ stack well with both the Edge Attitude and the Smarty,(without adding additional Smarty pressure)? This would be on the 2004. 5 and 2005 trucks. * The Edge EZ is just a pressure box, correct? It's when you start running timing advance on two different boxes simultaneously that will burn down your engine or adding pressure on both a box and a programmer it kills the injectors. The double timing increase starts the injection event way too early and sprays the fuel outside the piston bowl. and disastrous things happen. The EZ has been an acceptable stack with both the Edge Attitude and the Smarty as near as I can tell. -------:confused:The EZ is a mild pressure box and isn't the MP-8 more agressive? EZ will stack well until $$$$,Pressure always adds timing,So if the SW does not see the true pressure it will NOT retard the timing,In CR the explosion can/will occur At or just before TDC, the Ideal but dangerous combustion is 1-2* ATDC the safest is 7-12* ATDC. Couple that with XXXXX and its going to suck up Your wallet.

Thanks, that's good to know. I've heard some horror stories as well. I know Jeff Garmon cautioned me about the doubled up timing and now I'm using the Smarty as a stand alone performance enhancer. Although the EZ on the middle setting and the Hot Juice on the highest level ran great for me without any issues other than snapping the input shaft. :-laf
