They last a long time when they are out of adjustment.
I manually adjusted them when needed. That is how you adjust the parking brake. I didn't mention I have only replaced the front brake pads once.
Gary,
What did you have to do to restore normal clutch operation last week?
Are you currently working on rebuilding the other 12 valve you bought recently?
GAmes,
I noticed on your signature that that you have a 1997 Dodge 3500, 2wd, G56 6 speed. Since in 97 Dodge came with an NV5600 6 speed or maybe even a NV4500 5 speed, how did you get a G56, 6 speed? A G56 6 speed was introduced on the 05. 5 Dodge. Did you change it out or is it a typo? Just curious.

Dear Mr. Ames:
Please review my recent post on replacing my rear brakes. Mine lasted 207,000 miles but unfortunately, I don't think that they were working correctly for a good portion of the time. The first comments that I received on my post were about the failure of the automatic adjustment mechanism to work properly. I think that the replies were correct.
