Also missed #19. # 8 was my favorite... we used to wrap bed sheets around our necks and jump from the roof (single story of course) to see who could go the farthest. Were those the days? Yeah.

Soap operas??? Eewww.. . :D

No, Booze Circus and Where the Action is. Remember, this was the 60's not now. Back then this was all that was on the TV at the noon hour other then news, in the Chicago land area. An as a kid who watch the news program. Also the rabbit ears would only bring in the strongest signal and WGN channel 9 was one of the strongest TV signals back then.

Oohhh!!! Big city TV. Didn't get to experience big city TV unless we went on vacation to visit the big relatives.
In the 1950's - In Junction City, Kansas, Chanel 13, the only station that came in, played all three major networks. Started around 7 am (lots of test pattern time just waiting for the morning cartoons & captain Kangaroo before school) and ended between 10 pm and midnight (big waiving flag and National Anthem - if I was permitted to stay up that late). Morning cartoons, followed by a bit of news, then went into game shows and soap operas. CBS, NBC and ABC. After school we had to endure more soap operas then get about a half an hour of Webb's Fun Time (cartooons! woo-hoo!:D)
1960's - Then there is the greater Seattle, Washington area (McCleary, Tumwater). In TV heaven... as long as the antenna was pointed in the right direction... (If I wasn't terrorizing people on the streets with a hot rod or muscle car I spent a lot of time tweeking antennas - especially on a windy day#@$%!) JP Patches, Captain Puget, Stan Boreson, Brakeman Bill & Krazy Donkey (Sorry - No Wunda Wunda for me - "Wunda Wunda is my name, for boys and girls who are insane... ")... Oh, and stayed up late and watched the first Johnny Carson episode. Every night KIRO TV would broadcast a public service message "It's 9 PM. Do you know where your children are?" Stations began logging off the air starting at 10 PM thru 1 AM.

Man!!! I'm jealous!!! That's better than being a plain ol' "Patches Pal".

And... and... the Surf-n-Rods music dudes (right up there with the Beach Boys) - Deadman's Curve, et al ... OOoooo... Just rub it in(hiss... pffft... pffft) Lucky you... :D:D:D It was probably a good thing I had Mitchell or Cherry Bomb mufflers on a couple of my cars to drown out my "I-can't-sing-worth-a-darn" terrible sing-a-long rendition of their songs.
