My 2009 6. 7 2500 Cummins started making what sounds like a vacuum leak noise in the lower left area of the dash (near or just under the headlight switch). Noise stops when brake is applied or if steering wheel is turned left or right. No other symptoms or issues. It’ll be a few days before I can get tot the dealer. Just wondered if anyone else had this happen?

What you are hearing is the power steering fluid circulating through the hydra boost for your power brakes. Perfectly normal.

This might be a hydro boost hose failure. I have attached a thread for you to review to see if this is an issue. I would suggest that if this is the problem have the dealer fix the hose failure under warranty.

Yup, Ive had mine go out, same thing you are describing, very annoying. I started running royal purple ATF in my PS and it had been much happier.
