I am game. I fully understand where you are coming from as well. That was my concern from the start. I have done stuff like this in the past too and all of those people who wanted it disappeared.

I am all for this. As stated above, how much are we looking at? Secondly, how good will the parts be if made from fiberglass molds? Maybe a bettter question is how accuate to the originals?

Plastic trim...

I vote for all of them, count me in. I would need: Top-front/back, sides top, and around the door frame, section below rear window. Mine are: glued with tape from behind, large plastic gromets to keep them in place :-laf at the screw areas :D

There's one option to protect, camouflage or otherwise enhance the trim you have now... upholster them! I did a custom interior on another truck I owned, and I included the plastic trim to have it all match. It's done in the custom hot / rat rod community. Turned out really nice. I used tweed material for its looks, durability, huge choice of colors, and fade resistance. Also, when you tightly wrap the material around the plastic trim, it provides added strength and protection to a piece that might otherwise fall apart. Just an idea that's worked for me, and I'll be doing to both my CC and RC interiors.

getting started/

ok. . I will need about 12 grand to get the ball rolling. I will start with the over the windshield and over the door parts. Then expand if those sell/ break even.

As for covering old parts with cloth or what ever else... ... . Ok great idea.

Unless of course all your original parts are warped up and broken into multiple

pieces. . Most of them are not usable anymore !

I would take this a whole lot more seriously if I were a younger man. But I have enough parts stashed away to last me another 50 years. I have my doubts that I will live any more than another 5 or if I am lucky perhaps 10 years. I really didn't think I was going to survive cancer 3 years back.

My brother just passed away last month. And 3 of my friends the month before. Almost all my friends my age are gone now. It seems like only yesterday I was starting the Cummins project... . But that was 28 years ago.

How time flies!

If any of you guys are all that serious about keeping the old trucks going. I highly advise you to start stocking up on parts now. It won't be much longer before all the parts will be gone. As well as the guys that know how to or be willing to make them are gone as well. When that happens there will be no amount of money that will buy them...

If I do anymore parts at all. I am going to Give them to Geno's Garage to distribute them. He works pretty hard to keep a nice store and give good customer service. He deserves to be the one to make the sales. My phone never stops ringing as it is and I am just 1 man . The dog has never been much good at shipping and receiving.
