I used 2x12x20 White Fir, then stained it with some Ace Hardware deck stain. It looks pretty good for a no carpenter fool:)

I agree with Harvey, looks like you will just have to sit on the trailer with deck chairs and drink beer now! Could be worse:)

Nicely done. I didn't know you could get 20' 2X12s

I grew up in the lumber business. I remember lugging up to 26 footers. 24' was much more common. Now, as they harvest mostly immature, regrowth timber, and with the advent of engineered lumber like TJIs and Parallam beams, long lengths are less common.

The last two 20' flat bed utility trailers I bought, I ordered them with pressure treated yellow pine 2"x6"x20' flooring which cost about $100 extra at the time they are ordered. One is 15 years old, kept outside in the weather, and the floor is still in good usable condition.

This trailer is a '97 Parker so it's about 14 years old, the old deck was due. I know a 2x4 is 3. 5" wide and a 2x6 is 5. 5" wide but a 2x12 is not 11. 5" wide like I assumed so my width figures were off and had to go back to the lumber store:-laf

I should have washed the trailer first, if you noticed the left side is oil/dirt covered, the last guy to borrow it had a leaky vacuum pump:)

This trailer is a '97 Parker...

One of the first things I noticed about your trailer other than the nice replacement floor was the size of the outside frame and the A-frame under the frame for the tongue. Is that a Parker Performance Trailer manufactured in Mount Pleasant, TX?

Bill

Bill, yes it is, a friend of mine was a dealer for a while. I think it is rated 13,200 gvw. It's the wide one with (2) 6,000 lbs Dexter axles, both have brakes. They did overlook the GVW tag and did not install ICC lights, I am not sure what happened there. I installed the winch.

I also have a '96 Parker dump, 6x10, 10,400 gvw. They make good trailers overall.
