High idle gone since Smarty Jr update

I have updated the Jr to the new software a few weeks ago. Today I went to bump up the idle when it was cold and no go. I am probably jumping to conclusions but I think it is the software. Cruise control works, and nothing seems amiss. Long time Jr owner and high idle has always worked before. Maybe I will have to upload the older file that I have saved just to try it.



Anyone else notice it? Try your rig.

There is a revised edition file, 21E. I dont know if this will fix the problem till later today, but I will update the post.



Just looked on their website at the news section and mentions hi-idle enabled. So if you have the 20 file there must not be a hi-idle.

Well version 21E has fixed the lack of hi-idle. If you have version 20, you need to update.

Can you describe how to get the hi-idle feature to work?? Something with the cruise control switches, right??

Yes. With truck in Park, engine idle, cruise ON and SET. You can use the cruise UP/DOWN to increase the idle speed to 1500rpm.

Unfortunately this feature doesn't work on our 03s. Wish it did, very nice to have on those cold mornings.
