i just got a screaming deal on a bunch of brand new parts for a twin setup, the only issue is they are for a 24v. In the lot of parts there is a brand new, never opened set of ARP head studs, a new unopened ATS exhaust manifold, brand new banks hi-ram intake, and a new ht3b turbo.

My question is should i go through the hassle of trying to swap the stuff for the 12v equal? or sell what i can and get a manifold and water/meth? with my set up now i get really hot towing up any decent hill, need the power but cooler temps, Thanks in advance, Travis:confused:

The water-meth is only going to help about 150 degrees. But I'm not that sold on twins either. The water-meth will get you a little better mileage and keep things steam cleaned inside. If your going to use the big nozzles on the water-meth use the head studs.

I toyed with the twins idea, went with water/meth instead. Haven't had a chance to try it yet. Definitely less expensive than twins and still have room under the hood for the air filter of choice. Did this only with the towing egt issues in mind.

I guess both options really are a band-aid to help with the egts, could my injectors be weak and not efficient? it could just be me but i thought the truck used to run better and cooler, now it smokes alot and gets hot. I know towing 10k+ lbs with 37" tires is kinda hard on the old truck but i should be able to control the egts better than I am able to now

The 37's wouldnt bother me but towing 10k with a 8" lift????

That twin setup is the one I was considering as I already have the Suber B. I know that if I had twins, I would have a hard time keeping the #12 (foot) off the throttle. It would be too much temptation.

Use that #12 (foot) they love it and so do I!!!! I have only had one issue with my twins and its the clamp used to tie the top and bottom turbo to one antoher. i have designed a new clamp and had it cut on a water yet and it seems to be working GREAT! I was just having a small exhause leak but thats not a big problem.

My EGTs are so low with my twins, it's ridiculous! On Smarty level 7, I can't hit 1250, and with winter here, I've just turned Smarty down to 1 and I don't even see 950 (empty). Pulling heavy, I can't imagine I would hit 1100 ( all measured EGTs are in the exhaust manifold, as they should all be!)
