Stock Replacement dry air filter suggestions

I am wanting to replace my stock airfilter with an aftermarket replacement. Looking for a dry filter that will just drop in and get the most bang for my buck. I am looking at the AEM Dryflow OEM Replacement Air Filter AE-07087. Any thoughts or suggestions for a better dry drop in filter? Thanks

I agree, the stock box is as good if not better than the aftermarket for up to maybe 450-500hp. I had one, and went back tot he stock box. If you want to do something, do the Home Depot air ram. It is just 4" black pipe mounted to the bottom of the stock air box with a toilet flange and the pipe hangs down to the bottom of the bumper. I went one step further and put a 45 degree elbow on it to catch more air. $30 maybe if that.

This will also keep you from being at risk if you have a warrentee issue.

I had an AFE unit and I got more restriction from it than I do with the stock box.

Stick with stock, can't be beat up thru 450rwhp.

The home depot mod is good for more air as well, and will drop IAT's under load.

With the AFE that I had, with a clean filter, I could put the chip on the highest setting and if I laid into the throtle a fair bit, the over head console would chime and show the message to service air filter meaning that there is too much air restriction. I have been back to the stock box with the mod done for over a year and have never seen this message since which tells me that I'm getting more air and cooler air with this set up and I don't have to wonder if I'm getting to much oil on the sensors in the intake and intercooler, or if I'm letting to much dust or too many rocks into the motor.
