Cummins, GM and Ford Diesel componet comparison

Ford 6.7L issue in RVNET

Supply and demand.

Homes in the northeast and New England are often heated with fuel oil which is nearly identical to diesel. Diesel is always more expensive during winter months.

Also, demand for refined products from other countries is causing refiners to export gas and diesel.

Nobama has restricted drilling in the Gulf of Mexico reducing availability of crude to be refined for diesel and gasoline. It is all part of complex world market.

Diesel is also taxed more than gasoline. It would seem to me that the more efficient fuel should be taxed less than the less efficient fuel like they do in Europe. Just a 30% diesel penetration would save the amount of oil we import from Saudi Arabia without anyone having to drive tiny little ****boxes or be forced into unwanted electric cars.

Yep, European governments encourage diesel vehicle use with sensible tax policies because diesel power is more efficient.

Here in the world's former greatest nation where tree huggers, green goons, and global warming nutcases drive energy policy we discourage diesel vehicle use with higher taxes, greater regulation, and more hurdles.

Guys; For 35 years or more our Communist controlled EPA has forced us to buy foreign oil. It gave the Towel Heads the money they needed to practice terrorism. The bone heads in DC were too busy stuffing their pockets with tax payer dollars to notice or care. A good president would shut down the EPA and say drill here and drill now. Environmentalist have a noble cause and we should be concerned but not fanatical. We can drill here without hurting the environment but our communist controlled EPA is shoving their agenda down our throats. If BHO gets another term it will get much worse. Not worried about the next election he will allow Mexicans and Muslims to overrun our country and squeeze out Americans. I hate to think about the price of Diesel if he gets elected again. We have a monumental task ahead of us. Getting out the vote. A non vote is a vote for BHO.

AND WHO WOULD THAT BE PICK ONE FROM EITHER SIDE JUST ONE :-laf

Whoever is nominated on the GOP side will be will get my vote. It will be a vote against BHO.
I'm with you but I think it will be hard for any honest conservative to be elected. To win against BHO he/she would have to be a convincing liar and promise amnesty to all illegals, promise not to mess with anyones entitlements and then do the opposit when they got into office. But hey, ain't that what happened in the last election? By the way diesel is still $3. 42 here.

It could take a liar to beat a liar. That is politics and always has been. i have watched since the end of WWII. Our country has been in steady decline. If everybody gets off of their dead buts and votes we may have a chance. Otherwise America is lost and gone forever. It is important that each one of us does our best to get the vote out.

The first thing to do is to GET RID of the Department of Energy!

If you take the time and look it up, back in the 70’s when the Atomic Energy Commission was changed to the DOE, one of the obligations that the DOE was charged with was the obligation to MAKE the USA ENERGY INDEPENDENT!

They have FAILED MISERABLY! All they have accomplished is to hand cuff our energy industry with more and more rules and regulations!

Again I say look it up!

Not a damn thing has changed, nor will it change with President Obama, or his predecessor, GW Bush, or with Ron Paul, Mitt Romney etc. They are all the same, and after personal financial gain, and power. Either side panders to their base, and give empty platitudes to the flock, whether it be on social or religious issues, or energy, gun politics, military intervention etc. Both sides use whatever they can to divide the country into two, and we listen to the mush that comes from those in power and we the people believe that we are so different, and so we remain endlessly mired in petty social fights and politics. It is by design.

The power and the politics are above whoever we the people elect for President.

I am convinced that voting no longer matters in the over all picture. It will take more than voting to change things for the positive. By positive I mean where the people's interest and the good for the country is placed before the good old boy hand out system to the largest contributors of campaign finance.

If the people elect any of the current lot nothing will change. And those of you who mindlessly cast your vote for either side and demonize the other are guilty of continuing the great lie.

We are not free, and the funny thing is most Americans do not truly believe in freedom, rather the belief is contrary to freedom.

Next time you come across a politician wearing an American Flag lapel pin, standing in front of a sea of American Flags, and spouting off about God this, or God that, God Bless America, or family values, look at them a tiny bit closer and see them for who they truly are. Ask them the impossible questions that tongue tie them, ask them about their finances, and how they have benefited from their so called service to the country. Ask, and insist on real answers and not campaign slogans.

Happy New Year! May this one be better than the last one.

GULDAM; Well written and to the point. I believe that if everybody voted then we would be rid of BHO. Taking the attitude of not voting because it wont do any good is surrendering to the left, just what they are counting on. As to the DOE it is a fine example of a typical Government agency. Purposely designed to be inefficient and suck up more taxpayer dollars that it is worth. The ACLU, DOE, EPA, IRS AND THE DIPT. OF EDUCATION are all worthless and should have been abolished long ago. If they had been everybody would have a job that wanted one and I guess diesel would be $1. 00 to $1. 50 and so would gasoline. Nov 2012 is fast approaching and will be our last chance to save America from Socialism and communism. I will be 84 before election day and am disabled and I will be voting in my power chair. If I can vote so can everybody.

Just paid $4. 139 in NY at the dirtiest, ugliest, little fuel station I've experienced in a while. It was the only local station I could find that had diesel in the area when I stopped this afternoon. I only purchased 10 gal, which should be enough to get me down to the first truck stop on I-81 to fill up in the morning.
