I took my MAXBRAKE off my '01 and I've ordered a 'T' to install it on my 2011. The factory brake control does not actuate the brakes on my trailer... they're electro/hydraulic. The new T' isn't going to get here in time for a trip thursday so I need to try and make a local purchase of a T... anyone know the thread size for the brakeline on a 2011 2500 mastercylinder? The NAPA warehouse here in Sacramento probably has what I need but they need a size.

It is almost certainly metric, right? Can you buy several male fittings that appear to be near the same size and try gently threading them into your master cylinder to determine which one fits?

I thought of that this morning Harvey... headed for the parts store to see if they have a 10/11 master cylinder and fit the right 'T' or see if I can get a few 'T's that would be in the ballpark and take back the ones that don't fit.

Thanks Nick

I didn't see your post at first... . that's my plan though... hopefully get this ironed out today. I really want to drive the new truck to the coast this weekend. Got reservations in the redwoods and looking forward to a nice road trip.

I talked to MAXBRAKE and learned the 'T' is custom made for their application so I'm just going to have to wait for it to come in the mail. I probably should have called them first. In the mean time I installed an inertia controller so I can go on my raod trip this week end. I'll put the MAXBRAKE on next week.

Thanks to all who responded.

You will have to be really cautious with an inertia controller. If you set it to controll pretty good at normal stopping it will lock up the brakes on a hard stop. I tried one when I first got the trailer I have now which has elec/hydraulic brakes, flat spotted four nearly new tires. I use a time ramp controlleer, I know it's not the best but I have been able to get by for probably 40,000 miles. bg

Thanks B. G. I'll watch it close. By the time I get back from my trip this week end I'll have the 'T' from MAXBRAKE and I'll change it out next week.
