I just got a set. They look good, but I have a problem. The lower joints use a flush style zerk fitting. None of my needle adapters are going to get into the fitting once everything is assembled. Any ideas?

This is a picture of my front right axle,If yours is a 4X4 you might have clearance issues even with a right angle zerk. I have less than a half an inch clearance between the u-joint and the top of my ball joint. If you have a 2wd then just install a right angle zerk.

i had same problem, i called dynatrac and they told me their ball joints don't even need to be greased! and they only put zerk fittings on them to make customers happy... .

I second the recommendation from Dyna track. These joints are sealed and the seal does not allow for grease to ooze out if you over grease... ... IN other words greasing till you see fresh grease is a NO NO as by then you will have pushed out the seal and made the joint open to water/dirt contamination.

That is great to know. . On my second set as of 2010 and I'm NOT going back to OEM's again. Thanks.

I didn't buy high priced, greasable ball joints to let them go dry. I've got close to 300,000 miles on this truck because I believe in maintenance. this will be the third set of ball joints in this truck. Seals can and do fail all of the time. I know they are rebuildable, but I don't intend on having to do it on a regular basis. I'll call dyna trac tomorrow.
