For those of you who attempted to access the Turbo Diesel Register website today and found we were down, we apologize. We experienced a Malware attack. As soon as we noticed the problem, we brought the site down and immediately began work to remove the threat and restore the website. This website hosts no personal information or credit card data so at no time was your personal information at risk of compromise. It was, however, a significant inconvenience for our members. We identified one piece of software on the server that a recent exploit had been discovered in (in the last week) and have upgraded that to the latest release. The server has been scanned locally as well as with two third party tools (sucuri and qualysguard) with a clean bill of health.

We have submitted the site for review by Google but until they complete that review the warning will continue to display.

Thank you for your patience today while the website was down. And thank you for your continued support of the Turbo Diesel Register.

Thanks for finding and fixing the problem Steve. I was attempting to post on an existing thread when you brought the site down. I was having difficulty maneuvering on a post, which I thought was my server or computer.

FYI - Google has reviewed the site and found it clean. It will take some time though for the changes to propagate to all of their servers. Here is what they are saying on our control panel page now:

Status of the latest badware review for this site: A review for this site has finished. The site was found clean. The badware warnings from web search are being removed. Please note that it can take some time for this change to propagate

Google considers it a "clean" website? Well, compared to anything they have to offer, I bet!! Ever seen how their toolbar code is written?!?! :D :-laf: They'll probably delete this post... .....

THanks for looking out for us, anyway. You guys always do your best to take care of us, from my experiences. A big thanks from me, too.
