OK somehow my floor mat is wet, I replaced my carpet with a camo custom mat years ago, and I have rubber mats on top of it. My AC always is leaking water when I stop... . many folks say they have never seen so much... Now all of a sudden I have water on top of my floorliner and under my floor mat. I remember on Click and Clack one time they talked about a vent that needed to be blown out, on a different vehicle, to eliminate this. Thoughts... . and no I can't seem to see where it is coming from... .

There is a drain vent that pokes out through the firewall on the passenger side. IIRC it is quite low on the firewall, just above where the firewall angles down toward the floorboard, and above the frame rail. It's still dark here, so I'm not out peeking at mine. The pipe doesn't poke out very far, and I've heard of them plugging up and creating the leak you are describing. I put a piece of clear tubing on mine and ran it down below the frame. I think it was about 5/8 ID tubing. I haven't had any problems.

Can you take a photo.....

of the general area... ... ... ... ... ... .

Probably hard to see on your truck as the air cleaner box is right up near the firewall isn't it? It will be about even with the inside of the fender well and about where the firewall bends toward the rear. It is a little black plastic tube about 7/8" or 1" in diameter sticking straight out and open ended. bg

It is under the accumalator/drier I bleive. Lay down behind passenger tire and look up the fire wall drain is 5/8 in diameter its in an identation but you can see it. I use a 5/8 heater hose recently about 1ft 6 in long (my other hose disappeared :mad: ).

The sealent around the ac drain dries out and the water from the drain gets blown back into the cab. :{

I was using the air the other morning and my ac/heater box was sweating it was so humid out. Started to use Max AC. :)

It may be obscured by isulation, if it has it, and the insulation has gotten loose and fallen away from the firewall. It's directly at the bottom of the A/C box, through the firewall, behind and under the dryer. Pic is from frame, looking back under firewall from front of engine compartment... . this is in my '01 gasser rig, but it's the same.....
