Hello out their

wrong address

Ya got to know that im not Mr Computer Wizz by now. But I try to click on at my Favorites pics and sometimes it works and sometimes it gives me a HTTH wrong address spelling or something like that. I can try a few time and it will go sometimes not. Don't know if its my end or yours but why would it work sometimes if it were my end? So far I like it but what do I know about these things :D

In the past, new posts (since my last visit) had bold titles and old posts were regular titles. Now they're all bolded so I have to look at the date of the last post. It's a small thing but I don't use the "New Posts" button since I'm only interested in a few forums. The main forum page correctly shows the new posts icons.

If you look to the left of the threads you'll see an icon there and the icon changes for posts that are new - if you look at the bottom of the page where threads are listed you'll see an icon legend that explains what the different icons mean.

Does the same favorite link work sometimes and not others or are they different links that are working and then not? I haven't heard this report from anyone else.

If your using old favorites that point to the forums then those won't work but you should be getting a bad url page explaining why.

I have your site on my favorite drop down list all the others work no problem at all. Yours even works MOST OF THE TIME. but sometimes It wont when it wont it said to retype the address I haven't done that but then I can turn rite around and hit the TDR line again and BINGO IT WORKS. Steve I can just about figure out how to turn on the computer so Im sure that if there is a problem then it's on my end. My son is coming over in the next few days and he will check it out. I will copy what it says next time it happens and post it for you just to make sure. Thanks for your response.

Steve site looks great and I had no problems so far on eihter my PC or Laptop. Well except my first reply and that was windows 7 or IE9 putting up a window with multiple answers(I finally clicked the right one). My pc with xp had no problems.

I hopped around a little to look, I didn't see anyone else mention- so here goes. The quick navigation drop down always starts at the top where usually- and with the old version- it starts on the category you're in.
In other words, if I'm in OTHER and wanted to jump to POLITICS, I should be able to drop it down and move down one spot. Not have to scroll down from the top.

Love it otherwise! Good Job.

Son came by and put his magic finger on the keyboard and it works fine.

Still having problem with logging on--the remember feature does not work- I have checked toe box every time I have logged on . -Still requires me to log on each time. Mark Jaquith

When replying to a thread using the Go Advanced button, the hyperlink function doesn't appear to be working. I can post the actual link name, and vBulletin does seem to be parsing text to recognize the html link, but I can't give it an alias using the hyperlink icon.

Yes. I have the drop down menu blocked by the search box on iPhone and Safari.

The drop down menu should now be fixed and not be going behind the search box.

As an aside if anyone has problems with a drop down menu (any of them) appearing behind something else please let me know exactly where it is (which menu in which part of the forums - ie the thread tools menu when viewing a thread) and which browser and version your running. Thanks

Rusty - I tried to replicate this and couldn't. Here's how it should work:

Type the name in the reply as you want it to appear. Then highlight the word or words that you want to make into a hyper link with your mouse (by pressing and holding the mouse button and dragging the cursor over the word/words). Then click on the link button and in the popup type in the url that you want it to link to. When your done it should appear like this:

{URL="h t t p ://testing.com"}TESTING TO SEE IF THIS WORKS{/URL}

Except that the { and } will be [ and ] and you won't have the spaces in the http (I had to change those so that you could see it here.

Test source HERE

OK, seems to be working now. Steve, your procedure is what I've followed for years on this and other vBulletin forums. For some reason an hour ago, though, the completed text just showed up as HERE after posting, not as a hyperlink as it is above.

Well I can't seem to figure out how to make the new posts go to the bottom of the page. All the other forums have the first post on top and each following post below it. How do I change mine to display this way?

For what it's worth. You should have left it alone. "(

That is the default here as well and nothing in the upgrade should have changed that for you. You can change that setting in your control panel:

1) On the upper right right part of the page in the red banner bar you'll see a "Settings" link - click on that.

2) On the left hand menu under "My Account" you'll see a "General Settings" menu item - click on that

3) A little over halfway down the page you'll see a section titled "Thread display options" and inside of that a section titled "Thread Display Mode" - yours is probably set to "Linear - Newest First" - change that to "Linear - Oldest First" (this is the forum default).

4) at the bottom of the page click on "Save Changes".

That is for how posts are viewed inside of a thread.

Now if your talking about the list of threads then you can change the sort order right there on the thread list - the far right column is titled "Last Post By" and you'll see an up or down arrow to the right of it - click on that and it will reverse the sort order. Almost all forums have this set to show the thread with the newest post at the top of the list however - I don't think I've ever seen one that isn't that way by default.

Nope,,, that worked,,, Thanks! I guess sometimes I just don't understand what they mean. I do want to view the newest threads, but at the bottom of the page,,,, Must be a sign of old age!!! "( haha

Yeah, I still have the same problem to. Cleared all cookies, cache and temporary files and it still takes me to the log in page. Tried it with google chrome, internet explorer, firefox, another laptop with windows XP, this laptop with Windows 7 professional. They all do the same thing. Go to the home page, click on new posts, go to the log in page, log in, check the remember me, finish up. Close out the window, re-enter home page, go to log in and do it all over again.
