So far, so good.

Spent Sunday servicing the little fella', buffed out the headlights (had a nasty haze), changed the blower motor, cabin air filter (mice like that spot apparently) and fixed the fuel leak.

He warned me that the tank leaked when filled. Found access panel under the right rear seat, removed 3 screws and access cover (why can't the US automakers do that??) and was staring right at the sender/fuel pick-up unit. Has the same set-up as my '97 CTD. The threaded ring looked like it was cocked off sideways. Reached in and grabbed it, right completely off the threads!!!!

Re-installed it, it tightened up just fine. I don't know how it got loose and maybe it will do it again. But for now I can fill it right up with no leaks.

So here is a shot of the fuel gauge at the mileage indicated on the trip odometer. Impressive so far for a 14 gallon tank... ...

Second shot is of the amazing capability of the cup holder.

Oh, those Germans... maybe they figured someone might want to take a beer stein along for the ride... ... . :D

Mike,

Where is the flower vase? And that wasn't made for a big gulp coffee mug, it wanted a Mocha Choka Frappe Latte hold the caffine kinda cup car.

HEY quit taking pic's while you're driving, we need your help on future Cummins unknowns.

Now, how 'bout a pic of you and Gizmo?

That looks like me in the Neon, touching the passenger, knees on the dash and butt on the ground:-laf

I will get a picture tonight, keep forgetting.

I wanted to get one Sunday of Gizmo wedged in between the two pick-ups.

Forgot to mention that I replaced all four tires, two Thursday night and the other two Friday night before heading home. What a difference, no more thumping, thrashing, humming or growling. Apparently that chassis is super sensitive to tires.

Last week I would have never dared to take one hand off the wheel long enough to snap a shot, we would have been in the woods.

This week with new Michelin rubber it drives as nicely as my old Caddy did, tracks straight and true.

It is a bit tight, but still comfortable. Plenty of seat travel and adjustment. Nice headroom as well.

It is a little different getting in and out of it.

Seth and I may never be able to make a graceful exit, it is just too low to the ground. :D

Mike. :)

Guys,

My Daughter had a Neon with T H R E E pedals, taught her to drive it can you imagine how that went! She did good.

Low to the ground, yup.

Hey Mike how about hydraulics or a lift kit to raise your "ahem" seat up a bit so you can get in and out of the Farfegnugen mobile. I had a VW T-Shirt long ago with Farfegnugen on it, not sure about spelling.

Mike I feel your pain I'm 7 ft and after i get in our jetta it's pretty cool but it's the getting in and out that look's odd but sure does make it nice not having to drop 150 in fuel for a week to just run around town

1st Legitimate fill-up.

36. 2 mpg at 75mph with A/C on. Not bad, we'll see what a couple more tankfuls bring.

We are not confident that we are filling the tank to the same point each time.

Mike. :)
