I have a "Service Required" message on my overhead display that cannot be removed with a "pedal dance". After researching this on two different forums there are two similar but different messages. One is the "Service Required" and the other is "Perform Service". Most posts relate "Perform Service" to the CCV and EGR cleaning at around 65,000 miles. My truck currently has 48,000 miles. Does anyone know what the "Service Required" message relate to? My truck shows no codes when I cycle the key, the odometer just continues to show the milage. Thanks in advance for any info. I really don't want to take the truck in if it's something simple.

What year ,model & mileage. If you are at 67,500 you may need to perform the EGR cleaning and crankcase vent filter procedures.

Added later: Sorry I didn't notice the mileage in your post. I was reading your post on my phone and missed it.

The other message that may come up on the overhead is related to the oil change. It takes a different dance to clear it. Try focusing your attention on the overhead when you start the truck, there may be more to the message than you realize. I found that out on mine, it gives one line of the message and a few seconds later switches to the second line - and I only saw the second line.
