I have noticed that recently, I can get out of my truck with it running in park with parking brake set... . and I can hear a low pitched gear grinding. Upon investigating, if I get back into the truck, release the park brake and allow the truck to roll slightly, it will usually "latch in" and quit making the noise.
I am always a one man operation on the boat ramp as my wife cannot back a trailer. !! I am REALLY not interested in allowing the truck to rest against the transmission park gear on the steep incline of a boat ramp... So not using the e-brake is really not a desireable option...
My question is, Is there an adjustment for the shift mechanism? Anyone have a FSM with the correct procedure?
