White Smoke

2007. 5 6. 7 with 170k, finally did the DPF delete and EGR delete now it blows white smoke when off the gas. Truck is also burn in oil, never had any issues with this before. in 1500 miles I loss about a gallon of oil. Truck is running fine no loss of power no rough idle everything seems to be fine, but it is smoking and using oil. Has anyone run across this before?

I have not had any issues with my 6. 7L and deletes being done. Now which programmer are you using and if a Smarty what software revision is it?

I would check your turbo, especially the exhaust side. White smoke is usually unburned oil and can show up on deceleration.

Before I did the deletes the down pipe popped off the turbo. Any ideas on that? And what do i check on the turbo? Seems to be working fine.

I would say your pipe fell off due to high back pressure (plugged exhaust system) and a loose clamp. Check for oil seepage on all your exhaust connections near the turbo. If they are sealing good you might have to unfasten the pipe at the turbo and check for oil leakage.

You say no problems before... . Meaning the dpf was working fine? I am wondering if the edge ez has dpf delete capability... . or did you plug foolers into the dpf harness?
