SRay, what they are doing is modifying the stock valve body... . well, I say that. Those guys at Gorend are really sharp. They may be making their own valve bodies and divider flow sheets..... But when we talked about installing the shift kits from TransGo, it does something similar to what they are trying to do..... Keep pressure and fluid flow up to keep components bathed, cool, and lubed. It helps with shifting, longetivity, and reliability. From the factory, the 2nd gen trannies are not exactly up to par with what the engine is so easily capable of. The updated and modified valve body, such as with the shift kit, helps keep pressures up at lower rpm, locking up the convertor a little easier, as well as clutches when shifting gear. This gives a more firm shift, but there is less time for clutches to slip, which results in less wear, as well as keeping the torque convertor clutches locked up and not slipping at the lower rpms we like to run at..... That help any?
