I recently had my NV4500 out for repairs and noticed a torn inner shifter boot. Spent a great deal of time on the internet and local parts houses and junk yards - no luck. Does anyone know of any source of inner boots for a '96 Dodge?

Shifter boot issues.

Ahhh, are you talking the lower one in the cab, or the one on the top of the transmission?

Lower boot might be a good discription. In the cab looking at the shifters you would be looking at the upper boot. Beneath the upper boot would be the inner or lower boot. The upper, or outer boot, is made of a soft material - naugahyde or something similar - and is screwed onto the lower boot. Hope that makes sense. There is a small boot connected directly to the transmission tower. That boot is in good condition.

Thanks for your response!

Yep, figured it was that one... . I used to get them from dealer, but I think they're discontinued, and we're SOL..... I've got several of mine running with torn or missing ones. I found one from Mr. Gasket that's pretty close, but it won't work with the upper one... ... . I've got a source for the transmission tower boots, but... ... . anyone else know of a source? Anyone?
