Who makes/rebuilds the best VP44?

With a automatic trans can I go to a upgrade?

Blue Chip makes serious claims to have the best VP44. Chip also provides top notch tech support and customer service.
Midwest Fuel Injection has the cheapest VP44 (that I know of).

What do you mean by "upgrade"?
A hot rod VP44 uses a combination of parts to allow it to deliver more fuel. A Special X VP44 uses parts that give it more timing advance. Your Smarty already has that covered.

Another vote for Blue Chip Diesel!!! I blew my first one up with an aggressive tuner with the pump tapped and went with a top-of-the-line Special 'X' with NEW electronics that don't have any heat cycles.

RClark, if you’re looking for top notch rebuilt go with Blue Chip, however, there is a shop in San Bernardino that is Bosch factory auth. that keeps rebuilt VP44’s on the shelf.

There is a closer one to you BECS adp fuel injection they have always delivered for me but IIRC in whittier,there used to be one around the ports but I never remember the name
