Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) codes

Anybody know what these codes mean?



P-PCU: 1693, 1687



P-ECU: 0216, 0234, 0230, 1693

Nobody told me about the code list at the top of the forum as this is very helpful. Why did i have to find this myself? Very useful guide

Yeah, it don't look good. A P0216 with a P1693 is usually a death sentence for the VP-44.

If you would have put this post together with the hard start issue post, we could have gotten much farther

Somehow I missed this one but picked up on your other post.

It is a remote possibility an 0216 could be due to low fuel pressure from the lift pump (which youve also got a code for) but almost always it is vp related. The lift pump would be first on my repair list, no sense in even touching the vp until you get that straightened out.

Your thread that you started referencing your hard start when cold issues. Pretty sure the engine codes you listed in this thread have something to do with your hard start issue.

What I was saying was I was commenting on your other thread without ever seeing this one. It would have probably been easier for everyone to help you if you would have put everything together in one thread, that way shallow people like me dont miss any details :-laf
