For those wanting a "motorhome" but need/want a 4X4 try this: http://www.earthroamer.com/xv-hd/ I have been following their site for years now. He started out with a Dodge 2500 and a pop up camper and one thing led to another and now he has made a good business out of his adventures. He normally uses F550s but this F650 has a real diesel in it, the Cummins 6. 7. The F550 version range from $ 260-500k depending on length and options. The F650 would be a tad more :-laf. For the Cummins/Alison fans, and I'm not one, that should have the proper ECM and TCM software that properly communicates with each other if any conversions are in the works.

Bill,

I wonder how Ford is getting their trucks, now. I read somewhere that the Blue Diamond deal with Navistar had hit the skids and was being dissolved. Not sure how that all worked out.

Bud

The last i heard was that Ford was moving F650/F750 production from Blue Diamond to either to KTP in Louisville or the E-series van assembly plant in Ohio. Ford made some kind of deal with the UAW and wanted more control over production volume than they were getting from the Navistar joint venture assembly palnt in MX. I presume the legal "wrangling" betwen Ford and Navistar had something to do with it too.
