No I didn't get divorced, but did retire on Friday as Chief Plumbing Inspector for the County here. 19 1/2 Years was enough for me!

Congratulations,

I tell people that this is the best job I ever had. I have been retired for 4 years now and I love every minute of it. I get to spend time with the grand kids and do things with them that we normally would not have been able to do if I was still working.

Congratulations Larry!!

You will find out what life is really like. June 1st of this year will mark 20 years of retired life for me and Janet and it's been great. Three years later, I went back for three months on a part-time contract basis and quickly realized my mistake, but lived up to my agreement.

When are you hooking up the big Hitchhiker 5th wheel and coming to Livingston, TX?

We will be traveling off and on, definitely will attend May Madness, not sure when we will be in Livingston again, we were there in November and did the electric.

Congratulations, Larry. Retirement is great.

Bill mentioned your new HitchHiker. I don't think I knew you had bought one although I remember you being interested several years ago. Which HH did you buy? How do you like it?

Yes there is a formula, retirement age is 60 and we need 10 years to get insurance.
Larry

I figured there must be. Our's was age and years of service had to equal 75 (new rule 90), or 30 years at any age. Those were the magic numbers to attain medical coverage in retirement. I'm conflicted on that type of formula, some of my feelings are jealousy for sure, but an older hire's "duty" years were substantially reduced, compared to a person starting out at an earlier age.

I put in 32+ years, turned 56 years of age two months after I retired, so I more than met my obligation. EFFEN CenturyLink still saw fit to eliminate my "free" healthcare coverage, before the ink was even dry on my retirement papers. They did this to all retirees with the blessing of the union(cwa), in hopes that the affordable healthcare act would suffice. The union would not fight for retirees, proclaimed they no longer represented non-dues paying, ex-employees!

I hope you have better luck with your pension.

Congrats and Enjoy, Jess

We ordered a 36LKRSB in 2010 and love it. So far no problems to speak of, made sure to get the heaviest axles, disc brakes, MorRyde independent suspension, and 17. 5 tires.

Larry,

Perhaps you told us this before and I read it and then forgot. The description sounds familiar now.

The Champagne 36LKRSB is an outstanding choice and you selected options wisely. That trailer is too heavy for Michelin XPS Rib ten plies and OEM GY LRG tires have a long and well known history of failure. 17. 5" wheels and tires are an excellent solution. You should never have tire problems.

Your HH is an outstanding full-timer unit you'll use with pride for the rest of your days.

So far it appears Mike is going to keep the NuWa service department in Chanute open permanently even though he was forced to shut down new unit production. There is no service as good as the service provided by the folks who built them.

Congratulations, You pay your responsibilities for long time. It is a good success after retirement you should plan something to keep busy your self. Because after retirement a working person can't live freely. You can also join old age care home where you find many age fellows and pass your time with them.
