Glad to hear that you weren't near the blast. Im guessing no one else on the tdr was either.
One thing that Ive noticed on the news this last week. You hear all the talk about "boston strong" as if the people of boston are all hero's. I guess these days it is heroic to cower in your bathtub. And the reality is that most of boston was in no more danger than someone in seattle. And even though there was a tremendous amount of people who lost limbs or otherwise injured, only 3 were killed.
On the other hand (and Ive only heard this once on the news), the 11 VOLUNTEER fireman killed at the fertilizer plant knew of the extreme danger of a possible explosion. But continued to fight the fire to give folks time to evacuate the apartments etc across the street.
