Cowboys aint so Tuff

It was a terrible accident, there I was helping a COW give birth pulling the little one out, The cow was standing and all was ok, then for no apparent reason THE COW WENT DOWN ON ME!!!! ( Not what your thinking :-laf) The cow went to the ground so much the better really. I sat facing the backside of the cow reached in her ?>??????:><O): and felt around until I figured out what was what. Put my right foot under the tail and over the??????? OTHER OPENING as to not get my boot and pant leg full of S???:????? as it seems sometimes happens. My left leg was on a fence post and as I started to pull the baby out. Mom had, had enough of GOING DOWN ON ME!!! and stood up on my left leg and broke it clean off :-laf:-laf:-laf

Moral of the story

When a cow GOES DOWN ON YA!!! DONT REACH IN AND FISH AROUND OR YOU COULD GET A BROKEN LEG FOR YOUR TROUBLES. :-laf:-laf

Been a long 26 hours of calf birthing what a job this turned out to be.

I would post a picture but it seems as thou life is to disturbing for some, so your going to have to visualize the COW GOING DOWN ON ME, MY BROKEN LEG, AND THE FISHING AROUND :-laf

The broken leg was repaired with a new leg shaft between the foot and the knee in minutes after the accident :D

Didn't figure this post would be on long !!!!! life scares some people :-laf

Just thought it was funny cause that's the way I said it WITHOUT THINKING and didn't notice others laughing until it was over.

Glad it wasn't your good leg, BIG. That could get complicated. I know a guy who lost his leg from the knee down in a motorcycle accident. I can't count how many times I've seen him win a beer or money (or both) betting someone that doesn't know his situation he can stab himself in the leg with his knife without flinching :-laf:-laf. His is just a basic leg nothing fancy and let me tell you it looks rough when he hikes up that pant leg! Like you he's pretty good humored about it and manages to make fun out of it in more ways than one.

Cant do that but sounds like a boat load of fun :-laf

When I had my other leg like your Pard from the knee down, we go dancing a bunch here we were doing a HUGE line dance at a club. The music was blasting and the people were hand clapping and butt/foot slapping when it came to the Boot Stomping I over did it, I had a quick change foot release so I could change shoes quickly, it had a shear pin holding the foot on STRAIGHT well when it broke the foot/boot would spin around 360*. I was trying to tell the wife what had happen and she couldn't hear me, so I held my leg out and spun the foot/boot around and around. Some big lady seen that and passed out, she hit the dance floor like a side of beef on the table at the butcher shop :-laf:-laf:-laf

I like the stab yourself idea :-laf ill have to figure out something for stabbing my calf or something :-laf:-laf:-laf

AFTER ALL A FREE BEER IS A FREE BEER!!!!

Not knowing your situation, I was pretty perplexed there as it wasn't comic together in my noodle... Good on ya for keeping at it and having fun in the process!

Have a co-worker who lost his leg in a motorcycle accident. He fought to come back to work, (full time firefighter) and he did it. He has the leg he wears and one in his bunker pants. Bout the damnedest thing watching him get dressed for a fire; he shucks that leg off, bounces and has his new one strapped on and ready to go, (in way quicker than what it took to write this). Nothing but heart on that kid and the rest of you folks who come out of something like that with a smile still on your face.

It wasn't without help!!! There were a lot of guys in far worse shape than I, and what gave me the right to cry about it when the guy next to me had no legs and the only arm was to the elbow. He said to quit crying about it at least I could scratch my own Balls!!!! he had a point. I quit crying about it and went on with getting out of the hospital, most important part was finding a young Girl that could overlook not being complete.

Thought you only had a bum leg. Didn't realize you lost *that*, too.

Nope that's all there!!!! and it gets out and about on a regular basis, have two fine children to prove it and of course a good looking wife with a BIG SMILE ON HER FACE :D

When I had the lower part of my leg removed here not long ago, I found that with the hospital gown on I could take my stump and raise it into position when sitting in a wheelchair or covered with a sheet in bed to make it look like A VERY LARGE?????????????? ready for the nurse to help me out with. :-laf:-laf the look on her face was NOT TO BE BELIVED  as she RAN out of the room :-laf:-laf:-laf

Penny my wife ran after her and said please forgive him, imagine living with him!! and the worse part is he's not even taking any pain med's to be like this. :-laf:-laf but he is a lot of laughs. She came back later to take my blood pressure and as soon as she touched me I started to raise it slowly, she said PUT THAT AWAY!!!! or we will take it's blood pressure!!!!! :-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf

Im good to go Gary!! it just happen so fast that I couldn't get out of the way when the cow wanted to stand. I just had to plug in a new leg shaft from the knee to the foot and hook up a couple of wires and was back in action.

I always thought that living on a farm/ranch would be fun but nobody said there would be THIS MUCH WORK!!!!!

buddy of mine has a fancy titanium/unobtanium leg. He was pushing his race car up to the trailer right near the stands at a local dragstrip. Broke the ankle joint, foot turned clear over. he had his firesuit and shoes on. You could hear the squeamish in the stands... ... . it got worse when he hopped around the car with the foot dangling, then reach down, yarded the foot off, and flung it into his trailer.

People were going nuts until someone hollered "It ain't ******* real!!!" It was great!

Sure glad it wasn't your long leg. Your short leg may be easier to fix than your long leg. My brother always made reference to his short leg and his long leg.

Happy Fathers Day BIG,

grizz

Thanks Big! You had me laughing fit to bust a gut again. It's a good thing I don't drink on the computer any more or I could get arrested for alcohol abuse for spitting it on the keyboard. :-laf
