Just purchased a 2013 3500,. It has the GN hitch already in on the frame, holes in the bed. We are trying to find the ball that goes with the hitch. Any word on difficultys with MOPAR on this. .

Is this what you are looking for??? This is what TC Diesel just received for his factory holes. He even provides the part number. You have the 5 hole factory prep, correct??

Yes those are the parts my dealer said were on national backorder. I wound up lathing a adapter sleeve for the ball assembly from my UnaGoose hitch. Kind of a cluster F that the ball was not available. I have 1000 miles of towing on my home made substitute ball. .

Wow, that is a major CF.

It would appear to me that if you have the factory prep it would have to be removed (provided it is bolted and not welded to the crossmember) in order to use a product such as the offering above from B&W.

Ram needs to get that hitch vendor movin'... ..... the factory prep is a great idea, hats off to RAM for having the stones to go forward with it. However the lack of product from the hitch vendor for the RAM attachment system is going to leave a bad taste if not rectified soon.

This has been spoken about on the other forums and they mention a use of the words "VIN Specific". In other words, when you order your 5th wheel prep package equipment, the remaining parts (GN Ball, "Picture Frame Adapter") must be ordered by your VIN so you get first priority. There is apparently limited stock and first sales are going to those that have already received their trucks. I don't know of this first hand, but it is being widely reported that this is the only way you get these rapidly... ...

My dealer was quite pleased with himself, told me that the ball would be in my hands in 5 days. Well I had my trailer at his lot 100 miles away from home, headed out on a 3000 mile business trip and I had to be at the first destination in 2 days or it cost me $$. . If I had to cancell a camping trip it would have been different. MY truck is NOT A TOY.
