Has anyone rode the Durango to Silverton and the Cumbres & Toltec from Chama, NM to Antonito, CO NG Railroads. Which one do you think is the better and why?

Am I the only member of TDR who has rode both narrow gauge railroads?

I've road both, the Durango three times. Cambre once, enjoyed both. Pulled my trailer over the top to Silverton years ago.

Short story got to relate. While at the stop midway on the Cambre/Toltec a cow had just left a huge pile of fresh fertilizer, by the door, (free roaming cattle) and as we exited the building to board the train, a lady wearing Sandals, not looking where she was walking, STEPPED right in the middle of it and was she upset, to say the least. And at that time there was no TEXTING going on.

Was that at Osier, where you stop to eat? And a great meal it is.

Actually it was a rest stop to get off the train and get refreshed and look around. But the cow pie was hilarious.
