Mike,

They used some green stuff made by LORD, IIRC. But I also remember seeing some stuff called Fusor... .

Okay, so I was looking at what that is..... I know I'm stupid, but that really makes me FEEL it... ... The second picture you posted of it... . where it has LORD printed above FUSOR... .

So what was that green crap I had? I can't find it... . probably something they just had there?

Did I mention how nice an idea that is? I've thought that is a great idea, but I have very little experience in body repair, mostly due to lack of a patience genetic code... .

So how's it drying?

Not so good, but I may not have used enough of it. I have the tube and a nozzle with me today. I am going down to the National Coatings Store today where I bought it and see what I may be doing wrong. I am not convinced that they gave me the correct nozzles so it may not be mixing properly.

The green stuff that you made the balls out of is probably 3M. It sounds like the same stuff that bonds the fibreglass hoods together on some Freightliners. That is great stuff and is designed to release at 300 degrees so that a panel can be removed and replaced. If I don't have better luck with this Lord then I will switch to 3M.

I went to National Coatings Thursday and asked them what I was doing wrong... ... ... ...

I was not running enough out through the mixing nozzle before starting. You have to run a couple feet of product out before it is correctly mixed. I re did the RH rocker by prying any areas that had not adhered open with two screwdrivers and then applied more Fusor in the space created, then clamped it back together.

Did the LH rocker yesterday and it came out frigin' nice. I modified my clamping procedure and the results are great.

I am dodging rain showers right now trying to get the '97 together and also installing Rostra heated seat kits in the Mega as a surprise for the DW.

Had to wait until she left to wire them up. Got the seat heaters themselves in Friday night while she was gone.

As I get time I will post more pictures of the repair. It looks good and if they don't fall off the first morning that I slam the door at -20 below the mission will have been a success.....
