Big Thanks to Genos for the great price on the Bilstein shocks and quick delivery. Got them installed today, wow, major improvement. Stock had 74K on em and were shot! Put the same shocks on my Rubicon with same great results. Just sayin.

The bilstein's made a great improvement in my 05 and dad's 06 this last summer. Best shock I have ran in the last 20 years.

We are both running the 5100's, silver/black.

I also have the 5100s, silver/black. How long are they good for? Mine have 70k on them, mostly secondary roads (bumpy). Truck seems to ride harsher lately. How do you check to see if they are worn out?

so what is the difference between the silver or the yellows? other than the color..... I thought i have read that the yellows were specifically designed for our dodge trucks...

Other then the color, the valving IS supposed to be a little different... with the yellow and blue being specific for stock trucks, and the silver/black being more generic, but still working for stock trucks. I run the silver/black on a stock height truck, and the ride imporvement over oem shocks was amazing!!
That being said, the silver/black are available in TWO configurations... . 0"-2" lift (stock or stock with leveling kit) and 3"-6" lifted trucks.

mine are the black/silver, I have a 2" leveling kit on the front. Also have a 8 1/2` Lance camper on the back!! Lovin the ride for sure!! Thanks again.

not for heavy weight

Had them installed brand new when I bought the truck, and changed it to the Kings/Fox as soon as they could be delivered to me.
A short testdrive of 10 Miles was all I did with them.
Truck weighs 10500Lbs GVW ready to travel.

The blue/yellow are far to soft for a nice ride, it felt more like a ship on the ocean, rolling in heavy seas.
Completely useless for me, burnt money for nothing.

But have them also in my Jeep GC and like them there.

I am ordering black/silver soon. I have adjustable ranchos now and like the fact I can stiffen them up when my Lance is on board. These being non adjustable, I am concerned with the porpousing effect the weight of the camper may have.

I have ran the RS9000's on several rigs, it's been a decade thou, and was never impressed with them. It seemed more like a gimmick than an actual benefit. I never added something as heavy as a slide-in, but did change loads.

My dad and a co-worker have slide-in's and say the silver/blacks made a nice improvement. Nothing as big as the big wig sway bar, but still much better than stock.

Did a 340 mile trip with Lance on board, Moab, Ut to Oak Creek, Co., 2 lane, highway, city all that stuff, man do I like the ride of my dually now!! Shoulda put these on when new. Ride is so much better and truck tracks better, wife even noticed big difference. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

I put silver and blacks on around 50K. Performance was marginally better compared to working stock shocks. Wheel dribble seemed the same. The rear end still stepped out on washboard roads. The way everyone gushes about the bullsteins you think there would be a night and day difference compared to stock. There is not. It is just a shock. Any shock can only do so much to improve the suspension's performance. If your shocks are worn out, then any working shock will seem like a huge improvement. My point is don't expect too much improvement from a shock change and you'll be happy.
