I have been reading that if the DPF is closer to the engine it works better, so has anyone tried it on there truck? I have a 2010 with 64,000 miles just got it a few weeks ago. LOVE it except for the dirty oil!!!!

What are you going to do with the other two filters that are a head of the DPF? I would leave the DPF in place no where to put that beast under the truck except where it already is.

Don't monkey with the emissions equipment. They have the bugs worked out and the majority of these trucks work well with no issues. Just drive it like you stole it.

Leaving it like it is would be great except for the not so great fuel mileage and short oil changes.

That was true of the 2007.5 - 2012 vehicles. The 2013's are doing great. Best fuel economy I've achieved was nearly 22mpg on all highway. Typically I'm between 18 and 19mpg. Here's my fuelly for proof Fuelly. 3500 4x4 68RFE 3.42 gears short bed for comparison data.

Wraping the pipe is a good Idea! I hate to void my warranty at 64'000. I have read that a lot of guys run the exhaust break all the time to keep the heat up in the DPF.
I have had my 5 th CEL MAP sensor again, so I will be changing that before the 17 hour trip on Monday. This site is very helpful I haved learned a lot about this 6.7 Thanks !!
