I'm trying to believe I have a really great truck and I probably do; but it is such a hassle to try and enjoy RV'ing when we're in dodge shops all the time. We have an appointment tomorrow with a Dodge Dealer and maybe this time they can actually fix the issues. Main one is the TPMS keeps telling us to have it checked. Others are important but it is just so trying.
It seems that with Dodge -again maybe it is just my luck- that when they fix something, it isn't fixed and you have to start over because the rep tells you "you just expect too much so you need to go somewhere else". That statement was because I called them 20 miles {after them having my truck for 8 hours & saying it was fixed" to tell them the same alarm showed up again. I guess you should just ride around letting things not work or fall off or disintegrate so you aren't accused of "expecting too much"
While I still love my new truck--some days if I got a call saying we have your old truck,we'll take the new one back and you can drive out owning -0-, I'd be mighty tempted.

Glad to hear that you solved the problem with the Mor/ryde IS system. Please share the name of the shop so the rest of us will have an alternate shop to go to if we can't find a local one.

P.S. I have been looking at the 2014 brochures for the new Dodge 3500 Dually. Your situation is making me very reluctant to replace my 2002 with a new one.

Hi Di- I just got my TPMS alarm, with the right front tire showing -- for pressure. Sure is a great towing truck though!

I thought that the 3500's didn't actually have the alarm, just the display to show you the pressures. Which I thought from previous post is why the 3500's don't have the switch on the dash to turn off the low pressure alarm. from what you guys are saying, I guess they do. I'm running 55 psi in the rears right now because it is winter and I don't haul any heavy loads during winter. No alarms yet.
Sad to hear you are having such grief with your new truck. That's the way I felt, still feel, about the 07.5 which I still have because I can't get it to quit going into limp mode, with no codes thrown!, so that I can sell it. I'm only at 3000 kms on the new one so far.

Mine drove me crazy until I set it on low pressure. That way if its going flat, I'll know, but otherwise between 80PSI and 50PSI the TPMS wont bother me..I have a 2500. Dont know if you have the same option to turn off the TPMS for high pressure.

Should have typed "check tpms" light comes on and screen says to have your tpms checked. Alarm was for something else. Too may things to keep straight. My bad.

AH64ID. Dutch kept saying we didn't have a tpms and I kept telling him the "book" sez we do. When the Check TPMS Light came on & the screen showed tire positions he agreed that we did indeed have one.

I don't think settings would do anything because when the screen comes on at least 3 of the 6 tires don't show any tire presser at all just a -

Day 1
Arrived at dodge dealer at 10 am and gave them our list. He said we didn't have one item even though it had been ordered that way and couldn't help us on the 2nd issue-had to wait for a flash. He took the truck back to check the tpms check light problem. Came to waiting area 1-1/2 hours later and said to bring truck back tomorrow. He said they added a bunch of air then took it back to the recommended pressure as that usually fixes the problem-it didn't.
We told them that was not acceptable {This same scenario happened 2 weeks ago at another Dodge dealer and after having it for 12 hours didn't fix ****. The gave us a rental and said they would start on it this afternoon. They called at 4:30 and said to keep the rental as they had not found the problem and would start again in the morning. Hopefully by tomorrow afternoon after we finish our round of golf, they will have an answer. Will keep you posted. Hugs, Di

I have a '14 3500 Longhorn Dually. It does NOT have TPMS. I cannot remember what they call it? TPRS? It JUST reads the tire pressures, and displays them by position in the EVIC. There is NO warning light or buzzer. I like it, because you can change the tire pressures all you want, with no problems.

And, you can still check the pressures by going to the screen.

Just went to my paper manual, and checked it out. The 2500's have TPMS.

The 3500's have TPIS. Manual says, as I stated above, that they just send and display the pressures at each wheel.

If a SENSOR fails, NOT a low pressure warning, a

"SERVICE TPM" warning will appear on the EVIC.

This just means that at least one of the sensors is NOT being read or received by the EVIC. NOT that a tire is low.

There is NO low pressure warning on the 3500's.

I like it, because you can change pressures in your tires whenever you want, and to whatever pressure you want, and not screw up the system, unlike the 2500s.

I believe this is done on the 3500's, because so many more of them are work trucks, that carry lots of different pressures due to different loads carried.

The dealer can go into WiTech and see what psi the warning is set at. Maybe it is at too high a pressure or something. He can re-set the threshold pressure.

He has a '14 3500. Are you saying the 3500's have a warning, and the psi is set? According to how my '14 3500 works, and what the owners manual says, ONLY the 2500's have a set pressure with a warning. The 3500's just have a readout of what the pressures are, no preset warning at a certain pressure.

I don't know the specifics of the system vs. year and model. I just know that WiTech can read what is there are be used to change settings. I don't think my 13 3500 has TPMS at all, but a friend bought a 2500 and it does.

There are no settings on the 3500's to change. I think what is happening is that the 3500 has a different system than the 2500's. But, there are so many more 2500's, most think they are the same. There is no TPMS on the 3500's, only TPIS. TPIS has no warnings, no set pressures. Only a readout of what the pressure is in each wheel.

My 2013 3500 SRW Has No warning, No tire pressure notta, The wheels only have stems, Nothing no evic. The new systems are much improved but still PITR at times. I see that warning light come on at start up that's it. I have the pressure pro Monitoring system. I've rotated the tires twice empty the air when on the rack on all 4 wheels hit the run/start and no warning notta Yeeeh. You would think 0PSI on all four would set of some warning........heeeeee.

The modules have to be spinning to "wake up" from what I've been told. A flat tire on a sitting truck won't alert.

Nope.. try that also. You have to drive it if you inflate to above the minimum allowed set point to recalibrate, other then that it should alert on start.
