Looking at fuel transfer pump options is the Walbro inline pump a good way to go ? My psi right now is 12 at up to 2400 rpm at 3200 it goes to four psi .

I have had good luck with Walbro's, and at their cost you can afford to keep a spare handy. You do need to run a pre-filter before the Walbro, because if you allow the pump inlet screen to become contaminated/blocked in any manner, the pump will be short lived. I have my combination, 2 micron W/F separator installed inline before the Walbro, it has no problem pulling fuel through the two filters.

That's the exact link i found elsewhere on here I was thinking of piggy backing the inline pump with the oem pump . Do you you have any pics of how yours is installed ?
Thanks shaun

Not sure you can place the Walbro before the oem pump...any restriction and the Walbro will build pressure until something breaks. I mounted my Walbro on top of my transmission crossmember brace, driver's side, then installed a bypass line(w/20-22 psi relief) back to the tank filler neck, this keeps the Walbro from launching the oem fuel filter canister cap into space :D

Piggy Backing = Parallel?

Sorry no pics!

Bosch is making an inline pump very similar to the Walbro now, it is rated at 300 lph vs Walbro's 255 lph, food for thought.

I have that style pump from Vulcan from 5 or 6 years ago. It runs 18-20 at idle and never below 14. It is frame mounted and has a 100 mc screen pre-filter ahead of it. Chris

My truck is an early CR, it had the fuel filter canister mounted oem lift pump, so yes, it was removed. Glacier Diesel Power supplied me with an adapter to replace the oem pump so I could continue to utilize the factory canister/heater/filter, along with all the necessary hardware, relay, fittings, bypass Y, everything I needed to complete the modification.

I used all Parker Push-Loc fittings and Parker 3/8" rubber Pusk-Loc fuel line, they are top of the line and do not leak, and do not need a hose clamp to secure. I do carry a spare pump, 6' of fuel line and a few Parker Push-Loc barbed fittings under my back seat, the spare line is because once the line is correctly installed onto the barbed fitting, the only way it is coming off is to cut it off.

I spliced into my existing metal fuel line in front of the fuel tank, installed my new filtration, then the new pump, by-pass Y, and the rest of the necessary lines to complete the install. You could call Richard at Glacier for any advice on your truck, he is very helpful and will save you any possible headaches that you may encounter with the mod you are attempting. He no longer sells Walbro, but still recommended one to me for ease of future changeout.
