Have a question for the Guys from Las Vegas NV.

We are planning a trip to your town, I have made it no secrete that im a Germ-o-phobe.

I REALLY!! get the Heee-be-geee-bee's in hotels. Wife's Father has offered his Motor-home for us to use. When asked where we had thought about going we told them Las Vegas NV for a few reasons.

1* Its warm and NOT RAINING!! *I don't know how in the hell the folks in the Pacific NW take it without pulling the trigger, Snow or Sun JUST STOP THE FRIGGING RAIN!!
2* We are thinking of buying an RV and the same store in MT has one in Las Vegas with many more RV's to look at.
3* My Girlfriend Lover (if only in my WILDEST DELUSIONAL HALLUCINATIONS!! is having a concert in Vegas and she asked me to be there, I THINK??
4* I would like to see the wife in something besides a Parka or Rain suit

When we told my FIL about this he made a call to a Pard of his, he offered us his spot at the RV resort at the link below. I noticed that Mccarran Airport is near the RV resort, I was wondering about the airplane noise do they take off over the resort or do they turn away from town to prevent the Hotels from Crying about noise pollution LIKE IM DOING :{

http://www.lvmresort.com/ there is a direction map to the place that will show the proximity of the RV park vs the Airport

Any help would be appreciated, when your as old as I am and the wife want's to have an????? arm wrestling match, I need all the concentration I can get and DON'T NEED TO BE DISTRACTED BY NOISE Unless she or I are making it :D

BIG

We stay at the Oasis RV park. Decent clean facility and easy to maneuver around big trailers. And the best part is that Bass Pro is just across the highway.

That looks like a really nice resort! I doubt you will notice the planes, I've stayed in my motorhome at the Tropicana and the Mandalay Bay both which are closer to the airport and never really noticed the planes.

Hey Big, a buddy of mine always parks at Circus Circus every New Years, Ive never seen it, but he seems to like it.

The last time we stayed in Vegas we stayed at Arizona Charlie's on the old Boulder highway. They have nice sized sites with a lot of large pull through sites and better price than the Oasis. There are a few Casinos nearby plus Camping World and Costco are in the area. The Oasis is a nice park but the one time we stayed there they put us in a site beside I-15 so we had the traffic noise plus planes

I've stayed at the Circus Circus KOA and it is ok. Not many trees or anything, just asphalt and full hook-ups......:D

Thanks ALL for the info

Im kind of reluctant to stay at any other than the place that I had linked to. The reason for my concern is that the one that's a friend of the FIL is going to let us use his spot. He said that its got great security and they have a gate card upon check-in that no one can get in when they close the gates for the night unless you have the card. Even then they have a security car driving around to make sure of things.

I notice when I was looking at the website later that its for Class A motor-homes only!! which I thought was kind of weird, FIL said that the spot is owned by his Pard, its not that you cant use a site and not be a owner but it gives someone that goes often a for sure spot because he owns it. This guy and his wife live in Vegas most of the winter.

I like the security part I wouldn't know what to do if it got vandalized while we were using it, not that it cant happen here but probably less chance of it.

My main concern with posting this was NOISE!! wife brought up a point, that compared to home ANYPLACE!! is going to be noisy, so wear some earplugs and drink alot and you won't hear anything when your PASSED OUT!!:-laf
