Getting frustrated, my 2014 is at the dealer for the fourth time now for work tomorrow. They plan to replace an RF Hub which they say will fix
my intermittent operation of my 7" EVIC in Colder temps. They've done other work over the four visits as well like fuel heater
re-program, PS hose, Radio update, DEF Dosing flash, transmission flash, but it's this intermittent electrical problem
from day 1 that scares me, and of course it won't get cold again here until Oct/Nov. Just venting.

that sucks...when i bought my new 04 only had a few hundred miles and was going out of town and it blew a radiator hose.....****** me off, brand new truck and already going to the dealer...very frustrating..

Wait a minute, Right Front Hub (as in wheel hub) to fix electrical issue in the EVIC?

I hope that was supposed to mean Radio Frequency Hub, as some part of the computer communication system - TPMS or something.

Yes, Radio Frequency Hub. Got the truck back today, hope all is well now. This should be it, all issues resolved.
The tech removed item from under the DS rear seat, so I'm guessing this hub was located somewhere in that area.
Had the recent Aisin TSB performed as well.

With all this hi tech stuff on a vehicle ...........stuff happens, even the space shuttles had issues and WE paid a bit more for that

Dealer replaced the RF Hub electronics module, did not fix the problem. Service manager says he'll find out what to do next from Ram , just as Ram told them to replace the RF module. All along I say the problem points to the EVIC itself, not my call though, just all my time / miles / fuel to get the truck to the dealer with the wife and kids following in another car, and then the next day another trip to get there to pick up the truck. One more attempt and I'll call Ram.

Found out yesterday Ram now tells my dealer to replace the dashboard EVIC. The dealer must have and keep the truck throughout the entire process.
I have to leave the truck so they can lock down the mileage and report to Ram, then the EVIC can be ordered and RAM does some sort of encryption loading of the mileage, then ships
the EVIC to the dealer. I hope this finally resolves the problem.

It is actually a legal issue. If the dealer writes the repair order and lets the truck go you are adding miles to the truck. When the new cluster gets there it has the mileage burned into it from the repair order. Sometimes customers will not return for thousands of miles. Hence they will not let them go any longer. Legally those that did it would have to disclose the fact on the odometer statement at time of sale that the odometer is not the actual mileage. If you sold it and didn't, and the new owner put together the records the seller and dealer could both be in a pile of trouble.

My dealer ordered the dashboard EVIC yesterday direct from Ram after dealing with my issue as a Star Case,
it was over-nighted and installed today. All seems fine now. Looked like the whole panel/EVIC/bezel gets replaced.
I found that the replacement is a re-furbish unit, I'm not happy about that but it is their policy as I recall.

Early on in the model cycle the "Reman" parts are generally new seed stock. You can't have a successful Reman program until the number of cores exceeds the failure rate by a pretty big margin.

Thanks sag2, my replacement dash EVIC looks new, and the clear bezel is perfect. The bezels are so easy to scratch, I put marks on my old one just wiping lightly it with a tissue.
Dealer told me my EVIC goes back to Ram for reman, so I assumed my new one was a reman but maybe not (Service Mgr. really doesn't know).
