2013 DPF delete???

OK, I have read all the posts and everything that I read shows that this is not possible or necessary. I have a customer who got a great deal on a 2013 truck that the DPF is gone. He just assumes he can buy a programmer and a delete pipe and be on his merry way. I've explained that this is a big No-No and this is why HandS had their problems. Can you guys please verify that this is not an option and that he must replace the DPF.

You're right. It's a big NO NO. Removing the DPF is a violation of federal law.

I doubt its been removed, if is it will de-rate power very soon and the history will be burn into the ECM/PCM and Ram will flag the warranty instantly, if returned to Dealer for any type of repair.

Todd, I assume that he is saying the Dpf was stolen off of the truck and now they need a way to get it back running.

Add $3000.00 + R&R SCR/DPF, another $1500.00 If the DEF chamber gone.

Is it not illegal to sell a vehicle with the emissions control equipment removed/deleted/tampered with? I would recommend your customer discuss this with whoever he bought the truck from.

Its Illegal for any License Auto seller to move, trade or sell any NON-Compliant vehicle(s) heck its even Illegal to drive on any public road, Competition or race on NON license vehicle is the only exception.
