Im gonna pull trigger on EFI live, i just can't make um mind who to use to write tunes. I've looked at Silver bullet and Fleece Diesel. anyone have any input that would help a lot. thanks

Is Silver Bullet run by a guy named Les and is he also working with Anarchy Diesel??? If so, on CF, I have read ONLY good things about Les and Anarchy in terms of EFI tuning and, perhaps even more importantly, customer service.

Well I got a setup form Les, did the Auto cal with 5 way switch so Stock, 12V/MPG, Street, Hot, Race. So far Ive been driving on the 12V/MPG tune which single injection event tune aimed at maximizing mpg. Truck runs good, definitely louder without the pre/post injection event, not a ton of power but been driving conservatively, no mpg figure yet but the lie-o-meter went from 14.5 to 22 so well see. I did a few mile run on the street tune and it was smooth, responsive, good power and did not see any smoke but that was only a few miles so time will tell, after a tank on the 12V/MPG tune Ill run a tank on street tune. We set my tuning up for a truck with a built trans and I have a stock trans so Les just said not to go over the street tune until I get a built trans to be safe.

Well been running and playing with EFI live, Cant say it helped MPG at all but I havent done any data logging yet to fine tune it. I just moved up to Oregon from the bay area, bed loaded and hauling a 23' Toy hauler weighing around 9k I got 10 MPG, soooo ya that sucked. Power is good and there is less smoke but cant say it was the best thing I ever did. As for a trans I dont have any plans right now other then hoping I dont have to deal with it for a while!!

how are the other tunes compared to the 12v tune? how is it while not towing?

The other tunes are smooth, good power and low smoke. Haven't had a good tank for mileage since I got it that did not have city towing. I just filled up today but it will be 90% around town so well see.
