As most of you know, I'm trying to sell my 2500 DRW.

There's quite a bit of confusion from the people that come to look at it solely because of the DRW conversion.

My question is.....Do you guys think I'd have better luck if I switched it back to SRW? I hate to spend any more money but the DRW part seems to be getting in the way.

I found locally, a really nice color matching SRW bed and a set of OEM wheels/tires for a really good price and it will only takes me about 4/5 hours to swap the parts over. And I stand a good chance to make my money back + some when I sell the DRW parts.

Throw money at it? Or keep trying to sell as is?

If you are already having questions on the conversion that you believe are hindering the sale, then I think switching it back would be worth it.

Did you turn down the road of no return or are you just marketing it in the wrong spot. Seems members here would understand better! SNOKING

Is it a "true" dually, with all six wheels the same, or is it just dual rear wheels, with the stock front wheels? If the latter, I would switch it back to a SRW truck.

I would probably switch it back to OEM also, take the DRW conversion out of the equation, then sell those parts separately after the sale of your truck. I understand it's quite a chore, but I believe your sale would be "smoother". A TDR member would most likely not be dissuaded, but your average truck buyer would likely be apprehensive about the modification and if it was done properly....

Good Luck on the sale. hope it goes as quickly as mine did once you have it ready for sale.

Switching back from duallie rear fenders might not be that easy!!!! It appears that he installed a duallie bed and sold the SRW bed. His profile pictures appears to have the duallie type wheel adapters on the front.

Best bet = just drive it until it drops!!!!

Yes, the bed is a OEM DRW bed and the front DRW adapters are the very same adapters that come from the factory on....guess what?.....DRW trucks. 3/4 and 1-ton trucks from 2003 on up use the exact same front axle. One has a adapter and the other one does not.

I'm picking up a pristine 2009 SRW bed today and hopefully grab some OEM 17" wheels/tires tomorrow that I found on CL. If I get it converted back by this weekend, I'll write yet another thread on the conversion with pics, measurements etc. Maybe Robin will make it a sticky this time so that other members can see the very little differences between SRW & DRW trucks.
