Replacing ST tires with Dura Grapplers?

Am getting an Arctic Fox model 28F TT this fall. Camping weight is 10,400. Has anyone replaced their 16 inch ST tires with LT 235/85 R 16 Dura Grapplers?
Also- heard a rumor that this size Dura Grappler doesn't resemble the larger versions cosmetically? I'm running 285/75 17's on the TV and am very happy with those.

No, I used an all position tire that you can use on a trailer. Mine our Michelin XPS RIBS LT245/75R/16E tires that I run at 80 PSI with the stock steel rims on the trailer. These are also balance for improve towing behind the truck.

From what I read and understand you need to use an all position tire for trailers and not just an LT style tire for trailer use. I could be wrong but that is why I choose the Michelin since these are all position and also a LT tire.

The Bridgestone Duravis R250 is a all steel ply tire that cost less than the XPS Rib. Just as good. Any LT is much better than cheap ST tires. The Firestone Transforce HT is a good choice in a poly carcass LT. A tire with closed outer ribs and very little siping is best. Snoking

Thanks for the informative replies,guys. I learned quite a lot from your comments. Making sure the tire is an all position with closed shoulder and minimum siping makes perfect
sense. I looked up all the specs for both the Michelin XPS Rib and the Bridgestone Duravis R250. Both are amazingly similar across the board.
Also, it appears that I can run either at 65 psi and still meet my loaded weight requirement.( Just in case my Arctic Fox wheels can't exceed 65psi)

Both are almost 25 lbs heavier per tire- so I think I will have to source a replacement set of shocks with proper valving. Thanks again , Robert
