So i finally got my truck back tonight, for those keeping score at home, that's exactly one week to the day. It went in for injector diagnostics, and came out with an entirely new rear brake system from the hardline junction at the rear of the fuel tank on back. They weren't able to save anything in the rear brake system, even the caliper bleeders didn't want to cooperate. That's not a total surprise to me and I was ready for that scenario once the whole rear brake ordeal started. The thing that pisses me off is the total lack of communication, the apparent "mis-diagnosis" that it was rotted metal line, instead of it being the ruptured rubber line. And I'm not sure they even ever really diagnosed the injection system other than to try and upsell me to the intank pump upgrade, which I don't need at this point. If I had not been pro-actively involved in this process, who knows where this could have gone? I'm of the mind they are just parts replacers at this point and will just keep throwing parts at things until something sticks.

So anyway: two new loaded calipers, 3 new rubber lines (caliper lines, and center line), two new steel lines (on the diff from the junction block on rubber line out to the axle ends), 5 hours of labor for a grand total of $1001.04.......that was after they ate 2 hours labor, the brake fluid, the can of brake clean and took 10% off the total bill.

Oh and by the way, I'm no closer knowing if I do need injectors. So at this point I'm just gonna throw a set in and call it a day. I didn't realize how much I missed the truck, I had to borrow my dad's Explorer, what a sardine can that thing is......

Glass half full says, the brake thing could have gone really really bad had it happened in traffic or while towing or something along those lines.

I'll never take it to that dealer, or any dealer for that matter ever again.

Thanks to everyone for the input because without it, I think it could have gone a whole lot wor$$$$$e.......

Chris, i'am glad you got your truck back. I only wish I seen your tread earlier and warned you about "those thieves!!!!". Anyway, I 'd give Garden State Diesel a Call and just explain to them what's going on with your truck. Maybe they can resolve your issues without buying new injectors. Good luck, Frank.

Sorry CCiatteo But I have to say your crazy for having those jack a#$s do anything, I would have pushed pulled towed or whatever it took to get my truck as far away from that stealership. I would contact the owner or whoever to make that tech and advisors life as miserable as possible.

I agree with you. But the time and cost to get the truck back to my house, then tear into it, just wasn't gonna work for me at this time of the year. But you can be sure, the letter is being crafted now and someone at that dealership will be made to answer, and not to me. I don't want their lies and excuses at this point, they burned their bridge with me, so the hell with them. I'll make more money, but their reputation can only take so many hits before people lose jobs. I have no problem with someone losing their job when they are completely incompetent and deceptive at what they do. Believe me, I wanted to drop 4 letter words and literally pull someone over the counter and get in the guy's face, but you just can't do that today. The second I loose my temper and they call the police (cause that's where it would have gone), I've lost all footing and am now the crazy one, everything after that is tainted from my end. So I'll write the letter, cc RAM customer service, the dealership (general manager and service manager), the BBB (just for the hell of it) and the state's attorney general's office for consumer affairs. That should put the private parts in a vice. And if not, that's fine too, karma will bite ya eventually.....

Don't know if you have one in your state Bureau of Automotive Repair. Calif did.

I took my Dodge to have the trans serviced, Before I took it in I pulled a trans oil sample and was having it tested by a lab rat at work. They took the truck and said that they adjusted it and changed fluid and filter Close to $100.00 I paid and left the trans didn't shift right. I was told that they adjusted the bands and that there was nothing wrong. I took it back to them on Monday. In the mean time I pulled another oil sample and had the lab rat at work test it again.

When I got up underneath the truck to take a look, the Mechanic was so good at the job he had done. That he had even replaced the dirt and mud on the pan of the transmission to make it look as if it had never been removed.

There is a band that can be adjusted without removing the pan from the outside. That was what he had adjusted and that was where the trans was having a problem with shifting.

Monday they told me that the trans needed to be rebuilt, It was under warranty so really didn't matter to me. I asked for my Money back for work they had not preformed. They weren't going to do it. I explained what I had done and gave them proof that the oil samples before and after were the same oil, and that they might should take another look at giving me my money back. I called the Bureau of Automotive Repair.

When I got home the next day from work the wife said you have to do something the Stealership has been calling NON STOP!! wanting to talk to you. I waited until they called again and they were MORE THAN WILLING to give me my money back and that my time will be compensated for and that while they were rebuilding my trans they were going to give me a loaner on and on and on and on.

Told them I WILL TAKE MY MONEY BACK and your going to pay for a tow truck to have my truck taken to another Dealer to have the trans rebuilt I WILL NOT LET YOU XXX HOLES TOUCH IT AGAIN. They weren't going to do that until Dodge called them and TOLD THEM TO DO WHAT EVER IT IS HE WANTS DONE.

There is another Bureau that regulates the Mechanics themselves I cant remember the abbreviation that is used but they will be another source of Aggravation for the STEALERSHIP and the Crooks with Wrenches.

I sometimes don't have time to work on things myself, I don't mind paying to have things done BUT I HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF A PROBLEM WITH BEING SCREWED and ME HAVE TO PAY FOR THE PLEASURE!!

All I can see right now is two Effin guido losers talking to you about your truck and neither have a clue OR desire to do anything except take your money.......
