I just ordered 3ea 2.5 gal. of Blue DEF by Valvoline from Amazon, and paid @ $12.00 per Jug. This seems to be a good price, but I didn't have a lot of time to research and try to find the best price. What is the best price and brand of DEF?

My NAPA store was just under $12 the last I bought. About the same as Walmart only definately fresher as he has more volume turnover.

The best price DEF is at the truck stops......anywhere from $2.599 to $2.799 per gallon. Buy it in bulk.....and don't have any messy boxes, containers, and nozzles to toss away.

As for brand......DEF = DEF = DEF.....as long as it meets specs.

GSB is right,IF you run the big road all the time and have a C&C with the 9 gal tank.. For us that use our truck as a daily driver and are not near the big truck stops the 2.5 gal jugs are just as handy.

I'm on the road alot (79,430 miles in a little less than 14 months) but I have the 5.5 gallon tank as my rig is a pickup. For me, since I tow so much, the different things I tow almost always require me to purchase fuel at truck stops, as navigating my truck & trailer at a "mom & pop" style operation make it next to impossible.

I could tell from your posts you covered a lot of territory, BUT I sorta figured you were running a "Hot Shot" operation. When I am Towing my 32 Foot car trailer I have to head for the truck islands also.

I noticed Wal-Mart now has their own (Super Tech) DEF for about $9 for 2.5 gallons IIRC. It had one certification logo on it (can't remember which one, automotive....something or other), but it did not have any indication of meeting the ISO standard. Any thoughts on this?
