Until I got this truck I've been driving full time 4wds or front drive VWs for the last 10 years.

So we had the first rainy day for some weeks. Roads greasy, quiet evening with no-one around, on my own in the car, glance around .... traction control OFF ....coming off a roundabout ... pedal ON ...

Yeeehah! Poweeeerrrrrr-sliiiiiiiiiiiide! :) :) :) :)

Jeepers though, you need a wideish road if you're going to let the Megacab hang it out very far.

Still a juvenile delinquent inside, it seems. Came home and told the kids. They just shook their heads.

BIIIIGGG Pucker factor?? Whooopppeeee! A lot of torque.. With the big trucks they teach us NOT to use the cruise on wet roads because the fantastic amount torque at low RPMs of these new engines will break you loose!!

And if you break loose, letting up on the good pedal is not an instant reduction in power, as there is a lot of mass turning under the hood. My truck is fairly quick, but I use that power carefully in low traction conditions. SNOKING

After my first attempt at this with a common rail and the somewhat hairy aftermath I learned to keep my hand on the shift lever so I could pop it into neutral as waiting for the surge to subside takes WAAAAAY TOO long under certain conditions....just sayin....:--)
