Hello! On my 04.5 ram the wipers dont 'intermitent' properly, random or not at all.The steady setting is good. The cruise sometimes 'takes', but usally 'lets go' when i come to a hill. This spring a vac. leak was fixed & i thought that should take care of this prob. but it didnt.
I dont know how the vac. is involved with cruise & wipers, but i 'think' it is!
could the prob. be in the stalk/steering wheel? [elec.] thanks!!

I think yo have two seperate problems. The wiper problem is probably the multifunction switch in the column. The cruise problem could be the brake light switch. Next time you use it try holding your toe under the brake pedal and lifting up slightly and see if it still drops out. I had similar problem with mine and it up being the brake pedal not coming all the way back after use. bg

As far as the cruise goes you may another leak. Servo gets enough vacuum to work for minimal throttle travel, big hill on the horizon and the servo can't pull hard enough. Speed drops and the control module dis-engages the cruise knowing that something is not right. Having never owned an 04.5 I am only assuming that it has a vacuum servo. My 06 does not.

THANKS MA'FRIENDS!! i saw an article in DTR forum about taking the stalk apart & cleaning up the contacts, but i wanted to check farther 1st.
i'll check the pedal...

My wiper problem was ground related. The ground connection under the hood on the driver fender closest to the firewall is the one. Cleaned it several times and it didn't fix it. Ran a ground wire to the battery negative and have not had trouble since.
