Cannot wait. Truck is loaded with almost every option. I tow 19,000 fiver with a swivelwheel behind with a Goldwing on it. I have rebuilt the trans in my 04.5 5 times. 48RE just cannot tow big loads. Yes I do know I am overweight but until 3 weeks ago (new 5th wheel) I was at the upper limits of my 04.5. I was amazed how much more the new trucks have in them. Yes it has the Aisin trans also.

You will love the new truck. Make sure you get at least 500 miles on it before hooking up that kind of weight. The rear diff will thank you for a little break in.

Enjoy and congrats!
I'm enjoying my 2016 I recieved August 28th, already at 1975 miles on it and about 500 of them were towing. Loving the truck! Worth the upgrade compared to my 2011.

Hey, I see the 2016's have the proximity sensors on the front bumper! it's about time. The 1500's have had them on upper end models for a while and I couldn't figure out why they wouldn't have them on the 2500 & 3500 as they sit higher and are even harder to guage how close you are getting to the cars in the parking lot other than watching for there antana's to wiggle!

... now if they'll install Adaptive Cruise Control like in a Jeep GC. :)

I saw a couple of days ago the Fed's have asked a group of manufacturers to weigh in on how to implement auto braking or collision avoidance (adaptive CC of sorts) on all vehicles in the near future. The technology of antilock braking is already in every vehicle, they just need the additional sensors. The only down side is the radar sensors are very expensive and usually down low where rocks can impact them.
My wife's 200 has both radar and camera in the fascia for ACC and Lane Departure.

Hey we did 1400 in the first 48 hours of ownership!!! Snoking

Photowrite: Thanks. My first dodge was white and second one was silver so I figured I would combine to two and have the best of both worlds!!

Sorry I took the truck from Florida to North Carolina 2 days after I got it to retrieve my 5th wheel from the campground (wife and 5 dogs too :)) where I had to leave it and them when an injector on my 2004.5 blew its top. I put 800 miles on it before I towed the 5th wheel home followed by my wife in the 04.5, WHAT a truck. This is my 9th Dodge diesel and I am calling this one the "Beast". I got 17.5 miles per gallon (Aisin with 3.73 rear) going up at 75 and 9.5 coming back at the posted speed limit. I have just about figured out all the gizmos on this truck but I do have one question. Does the outside mirror heat come on the the rear defrosters? I will post pictures when I get a chance.
