Archived Stolen Catalytic Converter

Catalytic converter stolen from my 2012 Ram, Cummin powered. Is it ok to take off the particulate filter and put on a straight pipe until the part comes in? Will the computer let the truck run without those parts?

It should run OK, will set codes but otherwise should not leave you stranded.

Code free operation,without any derating of power.Just the dpf is missing is not the same as all the system not being seen.

The Dealer by me had a truck with a badly cracked DPF the whole back of the truck was covered in soot and diesel from the re-gen cycle... The truck ran ok just made a huge mess.

I doubt it was from regen-with no pressure differential it would not see a need unless it was a 13+ that also has a time feature for regen
