That looks like a super clean truck, but that's also a ton of money. Heck, I didn't pay much more than double for a my '14 2500 Tradesman with G56 from Dave Smith Motors and I'm confident it drives and pulls much better.

Like the old saying goes... something is worth what someone is willing to pay. Asking price is one thing, selling is another.

$0.03

That's exactly what I paid for my '92 in 1997 and the odo read like that but with a 0 in front. That's unreal, but if the story checks, he'll get it. I would wonder if Dad is a TDR member himself!

See nothing wrong at all with that price. Mine appraised right at 15k before the paint job 1 year ago, rumor has it they will continue to appreciate in value, no reason to let go for less.... JMO

The issue might be insurance. I know around here (CT) it could not be adequately insured. You be very lucky to be able to get anything over blue book.

This is a big issue in my mind. It would make sense to put historical insurance on it and have it appraised.

Do you have a picture of yours?

Lets see if this works !!

Beautiful Truck! It also just so happens that BLUE is my favorite color. Your second picture, the blue just POPS out at you. Thanks for the share.

A clean stock 1st gen 4x4 with a manual transmission with ~200k seems to go for the $7k - $10k range from what I've seen. If the truck has had significant tasteful and practical upgrades, or has had better than average bodywork, etc, the price creeps up to the upper teens. Or if the truck has exceptionally low miles, the price creeps up.

I gave $7.5k for my '91.5 W250 about 5 years ago...and since, I've put an additional $17k into it. Things just add up quickly...new Alcan leaf springs all the way around and long travel suspension design, new bilstein remote reservoir shocks, redhead gearbox, 19.5 Ricksons, LED headlights, NV4500 and double disc Southbend, king pin rebuild, NP205 rebuild, crossover steering, new bearings and seals and brakes all the way around, turbo upgrade and exhaust manifold, gauges, new interior, stereo system upgrade, Class V hitch, new Cummins oil cooler, injectors, pump work, upgraded 2 micron fuel filter/water separator and big line kit, 4" exhaust, etc, etc. Before you know it, you have more money tied up in something than you'll ever get out of it again. I have a total investment north of $24k in mine plus countless hours of my time...and I'd have to eat my labor and take a good monetary hit to sell it. But it's nearly a new truck now with the old school body. And I like it :)

My Dad bought his 1990 d350 for 12,900 in 1992 with less than 30K miles. It was loaded and immaculate and from the dealer. But that was then.....
That's an extremely nice specimen, and 1st gens seem to be pulling the $$$ in lately.
If it truly is as nice as it seems in the pictures, I think he will get it.

Just sold the White, Single cab W350 that I posted pictures of for $11,800. Truck had 229,700, 5 speed and ran like a top. The body was tight and straight.
